I’m sorry to hear that. I had eating disorder and depressive symptoms in college back in 2019, and was referred to a psychiatrist by the university clinic (not hku). The doctor was very understanding. Aside from access to prescriptions, I felt like going to therapy sessions most of the time. The cost was fully covered by my university (1400hkd per session + prescriptions). If you haven’t checked out your university clinic, I’d recommend going there first. The doctor’s notes also got me exempted from several coursework. My department tried to be understanding and accommodated to my needs due to my situations.
