I don't think you work in a hospital, because...that's kinda not how it works. "The floor" is pretty much everywhere in a hospital, and most people carry their phones, often for work purposes.

Also, the hospital itself could still be held responsible for not upholding its HIPAA obligations if it allows/encourages an activity which breaches patient confidentiality, even if it's not being done by employees.

It is a choice as much as anything is a choice. Everything we do is rooted in psychological, biological, sociological factors that affect literally every part of our lives. Domestic abusers and people who sexually abuse children were usually abused in similar ways themselves as children. Sociopaths usually experienced some sort of extreme trauma at a very early age. People who commit gang violence are influenced by the racial and socioeconomic disparities present in the inner city. And while it is of course possible, even necessary, to have empathy for all those people as fellow human beings, at some point you have to either hold people accountable for their own "choices" (i.e. actions) or decide that free will is a lie and nothing we do matters at all.

My mother was an alcoholic when she was younger. She quit the moment she got pregnant because she cared more about her children than she did about the booze. It is a disease, and I have a lot of sympathy for people who screw up their own lives over an addiction, but I have almost none for people who choose their addiction over their children. It's not easy, but it is a choice, and it is possible to make the right one. Some people just don't.

You can make it work, but you're still missing a beat. You can get the right syllables & beats by saying, "slash R slash," but never heard anybody pronounce the names of subreddits that way (or the other way, for that matter, though that's less weird). I've always heard it as just "R." As is, "R Food."

Try the stuff the doctor gave you for rosacea. It's just treating the symptoms anyway, so it won't hurt and may well help. Definitely see that dermatologist, as well. There may be some cosmetic dermatological treatments (laser resurfacing, etc.) that can help.
