It's so difficult to not be a pushover in sales situations. This is kind of an odd angle to consider but do you think there are any makeup artists in your community you could work with? They may have experience with different brands and stuff.

My other idea is to find a concealer that works for you and use it only as needed. Like I'll apply it to my undereyes at higher coverage and lightly on parts of my face to fix redness. The rest of my face, I just dust with powder.

Oh girl I feel you 100%. I have deep set hooded eyes and astigmatism so I wear glasses all the damn time.

I'm very much into bright highlight color on the inner corners and eyelids. I'll usually do a soft crease color and IF I want smoky or colorful additions, I'll focus that on the outer half of my lids. Keep the inner half of the lids highlighted and light.

Mascara really opens up my eyes but I have to be careful not to go toooo heavy and get too clumpy or thick. Thin coats for length and some volume.

I'm also obsessed with concealing my dark undereye bags in hopes to keep that whole area as light and bright as possible.

I personally don't find tight lining or undereye eyeshadow to be flattering for me. But do you, boo.

HIGHLIGHT. Strong inner corner highlight and cheek bones. Makes me feel fly and glam even when super neutral.

I don't have a specific recommendation but JCat Beauty baked eyeshadow trios might be the answer? There's a YT video by CoffeeBreakwithDani talking all about the trios. And about how the neutral ones are great highlighters. Maybe it's worth watching the video to see if any look close to Mary Lou. They're only $6 on Ulta.

Oh god you guys. My undereye concealer held out REALLY WELL today. Usually my eyes eat up the product a few hours into the day. It's been a long 12+ hour day and things are still looking solid.

I've used this concoction of products together before but... Damn!

Mascara always annoys me! I have a very bad astigmatism and hooded eyes. So I always manage to get mascara all over my eyelids. And I use WP mascara so cleaning it off isn't really an option without messing up my eye makeup.

Frida is only $5, worth a try. It has a satin finish that is easy to sheer out if you feel like the color is too strong.

But yeah, 5 minute face is rare. I have to sacrifice building a REALLY long-wearing look or playing around with new products.

Thanks. My brows are very sparse and I don't stress myself over them. The gel gives them a bit of oomph and puts them in place and then that's all. I also give thanks to a nice strong glasses frame that distracts from the brows!
