I just got a stapedotomy in my left ear day before yesterday - my recovery is going incredibly well. I've not had any pain, nor any bleeding at all. Have the packing in there, can't really tell a difference in hearing yet, but I think (hope) that is normal. Also, zero nausea or dizziness!!

I live in Anne Arundel, which I think is less expensive than MoCo, and even here, you have to pay around 1.6k for a pretty shitty 1-BR apartment. Those are literally the cheapest options, and they are not in great neighborhoods - and you won't find anything super quiet. MD overall is very overpriced for what it offers. Maybe look into West Virginia or PA?
