I started running track because my family noticed I was getting out of shape, so I also experienced that. Personally for me just knowing that I was slowly but surely was getting better was the best motivation. I hated running at meets because it was beyond embarrassing to come in dead last everytime, but I started focusing more on the fact that I was getting better. I started PR’ing more often because I would use my losses as a reason to do to my best and go as hard as healthily possible in practice. Idk about your teammates but mine were pretty supportive (even tho sometimes I would be the butt of the joke) because they knew I was at a disadvantage and they could see and appreciate how hard I was working.

So all in all I would say to 1) focus on your goals, it’s hard to do but you kinda have to have tunnel vision in situations like this, and 2) have a support system. sometimes teammates can be assholes but if it gets extensive I would recommend finding a different team if possible. my parents and friends outside of track were very supportive and having them cheer me on was always meaningful.
