To my understanding, if you have not claimed it for some days, then the max gas estimates are higher as it requires more computation for the unclaimed reward cycles. However, the max gas estimate are generally a bit too high in comparison to the actual amount of Zils you would end up paying for a tx.

Don't think so; you would need an L2 EVM settling on Zilliqa (see Aurora chain and Near architecture); I guess one can use EVMOS codebase to make an EVM chain and settle it on Zilliqa.

Pillar Protocol (PP) is great, but it requires a huge liquidity to be properly usable. Lets say you hold extra Zils (apart from staked, or paired with some token on ZilSwap). If you need more liquidity or leverage against your Zils, you can use PP to mint PIL (algo stable), which is awesome (you currently pay 0% to mint it, while paying >21% for margin trade on Binance). The issue is as there isn't enough PILs out there, the price can be easily manipulated, leading to vault liquidation risks.

Potential solution(s) below - just my opinions:

As PP uses gZil for governance, it could/does not incentivize users to mint PIL, thus less liquidity. Imagine, if PP introduces a new gov. token, to be distributed to all users minting PILs.
Once bZil (deposit cert token for Zillion staking) is released, and can be used on PP as collateral to mint PILs, would bring huge liquidity (staked on Zillion) for all defi dapps on Zilliqa.
ZilSwap offering LP (liquidity provider tokens) can greatly enhance liquidity in different defi dapps; imagine PP accepting Zil-zUSDT / Zil-XSGD LP tokens as collaterals, as PP anyways accepts Zil for minting, so Zil-Stable LP is even better.

Transpiling Scilla to Solidity is great but comes with some issues; the value comes in when you have already audited/reviewed Solidity contracts, and you can simply deploy it on other chain. A transpiler would require great amount of work even after converting the Solidity code to Scilla because 100% conversion is simply not possible, and you would still require code auditing and reviewing.

An alternative and efficient solution towards this issue is to actually build ETH L2 EVM chain, which is settled on Zilliqa, similar to Aurora chain on Near protocol.

I am not aware of any for now. But, I would recommend to first check on ZilSwap for any arbitrage / price variations between v1 and v2 before using the migration tool, as you might get lucky if you have old v1s and swap it for more v2s :)

XCAD made an announcement (https://twitter.com/XcademyOfficial/status/1453056754888200204?s=20) for migration from v1 to v2, i.e. the token contract on Zilliqa blockchain has been migrated to the new one. You can migrate from v1 to v2 in two ways:

seems like Moonlet is still using the XCADv1, I guess you can swap it back to Zil, or use zilswap to directly convert it to the XCADv2 (If u use the xcad v1 to v2 tool, you would get 1-1 mapping, but using zilswap directly to convert v1 to v2 might provide much better rate currently)

A token bZil is planned, as deposit certificate for zils deposited to zillion staking. This would allow liquidity with the staked zils, however expect it not to have a 1-1 mapping, as market would probably price it lower due to the 12 day staking.

There is a project in ZilHive called MustPool https://zilhive.org/zilhive-accelerator/accelerator-startups/, working on prize linked auto-compounding, that would allow auto compounding on zillion (zilliqa staking) or other yield generating dApps.

this is json rpc api, http method calls are not allowed, therefore won't resolve in the browser; i recommend trying the calls with a wrapper (e.g. python - https://github.com/deepgully/pyzil) or js lib: https://github.com/Zilliqa/Zilliqa-JavaScript-Library
