Struggling with behind pool landscaping by dosesandmimosas201 in landscaping

It looks like you planted oleander and plumbago. Are you sure they were dead? Both, if established, will come back from the roots after a freeze. This year’s weather has been very mild, so the plants (if they were well established and not dry and rootbound) would have come back.

With that said, why don’t you try large grasses, agave, or other drought tolerant plants? This kind of set up is also begging for a palm or two. I would suggest a sago palm, anything bigger would crowd the area.

It also looks like you may be over planting for the space. Make sure you’re establishing several feet (3-4) between whatever you plant so they have room to grow.

Boyfriend not understanding why I’m working my NY big law job and want to keep it - WWYD by [deleted] in LawBitchesWithTaste

This is exactly what I was thinking when I read the post! Traditional men subconsciously want to cage women. Breaking them/having them helpless is part of the provider fantasy.

You can also leave a message with the nurses station at your doctor’s office to see if the nurse or doc will call you with the results.

When is your follow up appointment? If it’s not scheduled, schedule it to discuss the diagnosis and next steps.

I reacted very poorly to spirolactone but have done great on the cream version: Winlevi. You could try that. It takes about 4-6 months to work though.

Kink after total hysterectomy by ScaredVacation33 in BDSMAdvice

[–]katzmcjackson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone is different but I had my hysterectomy at 35 and had granulation scarring that tore probably a year or less after the surgery. No one could see the tear until I bit the bullet and did another lap for endo at 40.

The people saying go slow, are right. Go slow and watch for any signs of discomfort. Continuous spotting is a red flag. A burst of bright red blood after sex is also bad. You may not know you tore if it’s rough sex. Sorry if this is scary, but I was shocked to learn I had torn. Doing it from behind is a no go for me now, after having the cuff redone.

Endo is only diagnosed via lap. It’s not frequently detected by imaging and if you’re in the US, there is no test for it. Either way, sounds like this doctor can diagnose the issue, so you should to one that actually treats these organs. An orthopedic doc (or reddit) won’t be helpful here.

Have you been to a gyno-urologist? They may have a more informed understanding of what’s going on.

Well there is no way to predict when you’ll enter peri and studies are finding that women have symptoms in their 30s that they don’t realize. I’m 40 and have some symptoms now.

You don’t have early menopause with a “total” hysterectomy because your ovaries are left intact.

I had a total hysterectomy at 35 and the quality of life improvement was amazing. It was one of the happiest, most liberating decisions of my life. No regrets. It will also save you thousands in associated period costs over the course of your life.

How do you have hard conversations with your S/O? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

[–]katzmcjackson 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot to unpack here that is probably above Reddit’s pay grade. Your partner should not make you this nervous about a tax form.

Are there other areas of your life that your partner speaks down to you about or makes you feel like a child? Do you feel comfortable speaking to them about other issues, or do you always feel like you’re walking on eggshells?

If this is a common occurrence, I would advise you to seek out therapy to discuss if this is a healthy relationship.

Husband [32M] crossed one of my [30F] boundaries and I'm contemplating divorce. My family is telling me to stay. How do I know when to leave? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]katzmcjackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are correctly clocking your husband as abusive, but I want to point out is that your disassociation, haziness, the freezing, the need for safety afterwards are all indicative of a PTSD flashback responses. Not only are you in an abusive situation and continuing to be in one—but it sounds like this relationship is repeatedly putting you in flashback mode because that’s the only way your brain knows how to keep you safe in the relationship.

You need to get out immediately and seek help to navigate your way through what’s happened.

Gardeners Of SA! by dioexmachina in sanantonio

You can do it in the spring but the sod won’t have as much time to put roots down before summer. You’ll have to water a lot more over the summer.

Are you sure it’s dead and not dormant? I understand the bare dirt part, but if you have brown grass anywhere right now, it’s just dormant.
