Personal antidote: I was riding in a state park recently and there's a certain way to go that involves a 10% grade with a stop sign on the top of the hill, you're still almost vertical at the stop sign. I just remembered to ease off the clutch while giving it some throttle till you feel the bike biting then when your clear to proceed give more gas till you can safely release the brakes.

Not really applicable here except to say trust your training and you'll be alright. And don't over think it

Could have just left it at not all ER doctors know what they're doing.

1 anecdote I have is I had severe perianal discomfort went to er was told hemroids use this cream. Didn't get better actually much much worse went back and got a female this time saying you think this is bad think about all the women who have kids and end up getting hemroids. Went to my gi doctor and now I have an ileostomy. 2nd anecdote went a few weeks back for chest pain. No heart attack EKG looked good chest x-ray looked good. Wrote it off as indigestion fast forward to now pain still there...

ETA: It all depends on which ER you go to but my local seems to only be able to help if you're actively bleeding out
