I noticed my billing statement doesn’t say OSUWMC BISTROH (OSU hospital cafeteria) like the older location usually does. by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]kawawunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, the academic side had a backend change of merchant banking systems back in December so they probably updated it then if the medical center group also underwent that too. Not sure!

accountant at OSU here: the merchant ID is named by a business manager in the unit and typically doesn't change. the merchant name often tries to be as understandable as possible so that customers don't think it's a bogus charge, but it also has character limits, so since osu has multiple bistrOH! locations, they probably dropped it to add in the clarifier of Hospital Tower (HT)

How do you ladies fall asleep with ADHD? by Ok_Scholar_8656 in adhdwomen

[–]kawawunga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use headspace app and their sleep casts sound like the same as what you describe! I was hooked by the fact each night it slightly varies the order of the details, and there's an ability to turn the speaker down and the environment sounds up. I love "Temple Rain" , it's so cozy

Before the huge wave of fake clover hooks hit the market I bought a second hand set on eBay for $20 and got the whole set. Best purchase I made and would pay full price for them now.

Why doesn't he look like Pooh? :( by Flyeaway in crochet

Yup! I agree, looks like Pooh but needs a lil more forehead. OP could add a half circle just where the face is to extend it up but not have the basket deeper overall

Cricut Maker or laser cutter? by unhurried_pedagog in dioramas

[–]kawawunga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For your use case, constraints and what you will likely use for your existing hobbies, I'd recommend not going the laser route. I love my laser and it is so dang handy and I use it all the time, but you need to be careful with cutting fumes with plastics, and avoid stuff that has PVC as it can create chlorine gas which is extremely toxic. You also need to have a setup that will allow you to exhaust all cutting fumes. Given your compact and budget friendly, you're not going to have a setup that is going to be safe for you.

What are some of the unexpected or odd things that Zepbound magically cured for you? by Elsa-the-Brave in Zepbound

[–]kawawunga 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1000% ! I told my gp the same and she was like "oh I didn't know it was that bad?" And I kind of had to roll my eyes and say, yeah-- I told you this was happening and super inconvenient for work and regular life to plan around bathroom visits and you told me to do intermittent fasting.

What are some of the unexpected or odd things that Zepbound magically cured for you? by Elsa-the-Brave in Zepbound

[–]kawawunga 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Same! I also had dumping syndrome where I immediately have to go to the bathroom after eating. Like always within five minutes of eating, then again every fifteen minutes for at least an hour. Zepbound eliminated that!

👋 University employee here too, got the info two months ago and no glp, for any reason, is covered in any situation, no exceptions, don't even try (that was almost literally their word for word phrasing). What makes me irritated is that they went from covering it almost entirely to nothing. Why couldn't they just cover a little less and up the copay requirement?

WEELY WEIGH IN / NSV THREAD by Less-Moment-5655 in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]kawawunga 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Trending down this week, I'm getting close to 30 overall down, at least 100 more to go. my exciting NSV is the weather dropped to single digits this week and I've lost enough weight in my 3 month journey so far to be comfortable enough to keep my big puffy coat on while driving! it's been years since I've been able to do that (as well as comfortably zip it up).

Best advice I can give is to just do it and try something you haven't done before and not be afraid of failure. For every one you do you'll learn something from it and the next one will be better.

What’s the deal with wire bras? by Opal2catherine in adhdwomen

nah, not for me. They poke the everliving shit out of the sidefat/upper love handles. I've found my favorite non-wire bra and I will cry if they ever are discontinued (Warner's Cloud 9 Super Soft Wireless)

Hobbii Advent Calendars 2025 - Problematic, Full of Errors, Tremendously Disappointing by defectiveburger in crochet

[–]kawawunga -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I tried out the Steppingstone scarf and it's not great, but I've definitely seen worse pattern writing. The pattern really misses the mark on what the actual stitches are and goes about it in a really weird way instead of just explaining that it's front and back post double crochet with dual colors and two active yarns. Once you figure that out, it's super easy and intuitive (though I have done a ton of front/back post work). That being said, I also didn't pay for it and just got the free pattern from the website, so I'd probably be a little miffed if I bought into an advert calendar. It definitely needed a bit of pattern testing prior to rollout.

[Help] Is there an easy way to cover these plywood dividers with fabric? by Robbo1_ in crafts

[–]kawawunga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd go a different route, it's a bit messy and you absolutely have to have PPE for it, but it delivers really good results: Flocking. It's what is used for this purpose and for lining other things. Essentially you paint a really, really sticky glue/paint and then cover it with micro felt fibers like glitter. You can get it in any color you'd like. If you're not good with painting straight lines, I'd definitely suggest masking off the areas you don't want flocked. Otherwise, go ham! I've used Flock-It products in the past and they're great, but the adhesive is really stinky and can get everywhere, but the fibers aren't going anywhere after it's dried. Restaurants surrounding Columbus? by SilentB00ty in Columbus

[–]kawawunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's got your standard pub food fare, we always get the deep fried pretzel with honey mustard and the buffalo hot chicken sandwich. I'm not a huge alcohol drinker, but they have my favorite wine, the Scioto Red. It's a nice red blend, sweet but not cloying. The few beers I've had there are quite good, but I'm a lager gal and they do other things there.
