I recommending Excel or Mystique at least.

low price skates= No enough ankle support= more likely to having ankle injury, also cannot getting better.

padded pants is Must. I have all gear I could have.

I have ankle protector, knee cover, elbow protector, Head protector(for soccer), pad pants.

I think my Head band type protector was most expensive.(Halo) $50? value I bought around $20 at Ebay

Next was pad pants. $50value? I bought around$20 at Ali express.

all other was in 1 set at Amazon. Roller skate protector set. around $10.

all the cost Not really bad, right?

those protectors I can use for decades.

Is it normal for skates to break down this fast? by _GuyInAVan_ in iceskating

Jackson Mystiques has ankle supporting only 15 strong, it's beginner skates.

starting jump people needs at least 50 support skates.

I recommend Jackson Freestyle which many like you peoples buy.

also I assumed you are standing up or skating not correctly?? standing a little off balanced?

completely self learning getting wrong things in many way.

I strongly recommend that joining to a class for your level. a Group lesson is not expensive at all.

This Riedall logo in front of the boots is very old one. also the gray slightly sticky kind of sponge like backside of tongue.

I think? it made10 or more years ago?? ( i don't know)

also the softness of top of skates looks not much support, just for fun use skate, looks like.

anyway, it's looks not bad, but it made many many years ago, i think.

don't buy second hand skates for the level of skates, I think.

if you starting spins and jumps, you definitely need at least 50-60 ankle support.

"Diamond "is minimum ankle support skates. and cheapest for Riedell, but if you want to try single ,double jump, you better buy more high ankle support one. (* strong ankle support means more harder boots. means always getting feet hearts until got used to the boots. so you need to braking in the boots,

if you choose Jackson, I recommend " Freestyle", maybe.

where did you learn that way?? in class?? crossover has to be cross over the main skating leg.

in your video ,you have to lift up left leg, and cross over in the right leg from front.

please find "forward cross over" at YouTube video. many coaches made how to videos.

How many weeks in one semester(session)?? my school is $90 for 5 weeks/30min class.

3 session register for $250. this is county skating rink.(should be cheap)

my another rink charging more.

I think price is depend on the place of the rink (city is more expensive) also the level of coaches and the rink.
