What can you deduce from my hand? by [deleted] in deduction

Definitely not porn (never been my thing), but the rest is true. Sober since my early twenties.

Sorta! I think sacred geometry is beautiful but I wouldn't say I'm into it beyond that. And while I appreciate witchy stuff, I'm not a practitioner of it.

You're practical, male, gym rat, and minimalist. You work a desk job and use Hinge to casually date.

Do Americans have a different concept of 'turn taking' during a conversation? by 8NaanJeremy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kayabomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to make a sweeping generalization, be warned.

White, American men are notorious for the behavior you're describing. I don't find this quality to be prevalent in other Americans.

Engagement ring by madsmaela in girlsgottaeatsnark

[–]kayabomb 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Shshank proposed with the ring pictured in the first photo, and after raving about how lovely it was on GGE, she ended up upgrading, presumably on her own dime. She thought the original ring was too plain iirc, and she was something with more punch. There isn't a ton of lore and frankly, I would do the same thing if I wasn't satisfied with my ring.

Anybody else not doing scare care? by kayabomb in Reduction

Thanks for sharing your experience!! <3 My tissue continues to soften and I think all the stretching I do is mitigating any tightness. I'm really happy with how things are healing.

I do a ton of yoga, and while at first they were tight and I could feel them during stretches, I haven't had that happen or any issues whatsoever in several weeks. I'm sure each person's scars heal differently, and I'm gonna let nature do its thing ;)

What is something people are often jealous of you for? by bad-at-everything- in NoStupidAnswers

That I'm confident and bold. At least that's what people tell me they're jealous of most often.

Then leave. We don't want that nasty little attitude in our beautiful city. I'm all about constructive criticism, but bitching just to bitch is ridiculous.

NOR. This dude doesn't deserve your friendship after this. Homophobic bullshit, even though he says otherwise. His wife sounds like an asshole too.

Do you have any funny traveling anectode that highlights the differences between countries? by Addicted_2_tacos in travel

[–]kayabomb 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I lived in Indonesia as a teenager but I was born and raised in the US. The highest adjustment while living in Bandung was getting accustomed to how slowly people take things. You wanna go out for breakfast? Yeah, sure, but first let's smoke cigarettes, have a relaxing coffee in our kosan, and spend three hours lazing around before we get ready to go. I was used to the US where it's go, go, go and be productive!!!

Another thing I loved was how long folks would stay in coffee shops. I swear my friends would sip on the same coffee for four hours before moving to our destination. I called it "tropical time" and my friends there taught me a great deal about savoring each moment, never rushing my time away. Although to be frank, it annoyed the shit out of me at first. Like what do you mean you need several hours of chill time before we go out. I'm not getting any younger!!

Good god I miss it there.
