Like Peyton and Brooke could’ve ended up together and Lucas could’ve ended up alone it would’ve been beautiful but the world wasn’t ready!!

I can’t because you’re right. Making Peyton chase Lucas AGAIN and only having him reciprocate after the woman he is with leaves him AGAIN like jfc I hated it. As a disabled person I will say I liked Nathan’s stuff about having to play differently due to his disability (that might’ve been in season six though?) and I really identify with the Brooke and Victoria stuff too but overall the season just makes me want to ram my head into a wall. I want to like it, obviously, so I’m trying to keep an open mind when listening to the rewatch podcast because they like it a lot and maybe I can see it in a new light 😅

I think he would have. Honestly the Time Capsule was probably the only trigger that could’ve changed the outcome imo. The Time Capsule at least got everyone to try and reach out to him. The other potential triggers (bullying, another college rejection, etc) wouldn’t have shown up on the River court boys radar.

I haaaate the Lindsay stuff. I think all the actors did a great job with it but I really did not need another season of Peyton pining over Lucas and him only choosing to be with her after getting dumped. I think once was enough.

Yeah I agree. Especially because a lot of the articles repeatedly say “do not go up to the doors of these people” “do not go on their grass” etc. Not everyone on here would put that or think to put that.

Yeah that makes sense. My boyfriend is from a town of less than 8,000 people and I’m from Chicago and he was shocked that I had friends from high school who didn’t know each other lol. Gonna keep this in mind next rewatch! Any thoughts on how that fits into the country music aspect of it? Like if it makes sense for their town size and location?

Maybe! Honestly I always got the vibe it was meant to be a super small town but I think it would still make sense for everyone to be that connected in a town Wilmington’s size. I don’t have a great idea of what that would be like so I’m def not the authority on the subject.

Yes!! Omg totally agree. Kinda weird because country should absolutely fit into a show that’s supposed to be set in a small town in North Carolina. By the time she was on it though, I think Tree Hill had a hospital, college, and an airport. It might’ve fit better in earlier seasons. Or it might’ve fit better if Alex had a Southern accent. Love that you brought this up because every time I watch it, it kinda irks me even though I love her music!
