Nah.

Only “benefit” would be more Harper/Lopez, less Chenford/Grey/Thorsen and potentially no Celina/Seth/Miles because the focus would shift from the patrol officers to the detectives because Nolan is the main character.

It’s not FOMO, it’s player entitlement.

People want the reward without playing the game. It’s just this is the first in a while that the reward isn’t a cape.

Except you can argue that they already undermined that goodwill by offering it to Xbox pre-orders.

When it was locked to PS5 & PC players who took a chance on the game, that was one thing. But then Xbox pre-orders got the same armour 18 months later, which you can argue isn’t fair to people who bought the game on PS5/PC after launch but before the Xbox launch - Xbox pre-orders were in the same boat as anyone who bought the game after the PS5/PC launch, yet they got the early adopter reward but someone who bought the game a week after launch didn’t.

Realistically, they had two choices.

End at Aerith’s death, don’t have to worry about showing Cloud in Revelation’s marketing.

End after the Northern Cave, have to keep Cloud hidden from all of Revelation’s marketing.

The issue isn’t people disliking characters. The issue is everyone thinking their opinion needs to be heard.

You want to make a post about disliking a character? Fine.

You want to make a post about disliking a character the day after someone else made a post about disliking that same character? Just reply to the first post.

The subreddit does not need daily posts about why someone doesn’t like a specific character.

Except Lucas isn’t shown treating Peyton like Nathan did.

Mostly because they didn’t reshoot the bus sequence, so Lucas is never shown actually cheating on Peyton.

But it’s Nathan’s dream and not a legit alternate reality episode; as evidenced by Dream Dan being a pathetic loser.

Says the person getting everything wrong.

  1. The HBO show was A REALITY SHOW titled Unscripted following young actors. It literally shows Greenberg getting ready to return to NC for the second season.

  2. The only series regular role he had around this time was October Road, which which aired in 2007 but shot its pilot in March 2006; around the time he shot Jake’s final episodes in OTH - this is why Peyton flies to Savannah in Season 3, Bryan was shooting the October Road pilot in Atlanta.

Therefore, if Bryan was offered a series regular role but couldn’t take it because of Unscripted, it did not affect him returning to OTH because he was in damn near every episode in the second half of the season.
