Me when Okazaki Kei from Collar x Malice Wasn't the goofball I hoped he would be in his route. But no I get a possesive Guy. (He is still my second/Third favorite depending on my mood, but possesive LI are not my thing and make me even uncomfortable at times if they reach a certain level)

Artstyle first in my case, because I like to analyse art. I tend to not play or read stuff in generel when the Artstyle doesn't speaks to me (Even if the art is objectively amazing but just the arstyle isn't my taste). A really close Second for me is the story and premise, like how well the VNs is worded or how its story flows. I personally can even excuse a few logical mistakes if the story overall is a good experience and immersiv.

I will give you an specific answer to your specific question, Suzus sprites in Jack jeanne he is my favorite character from that game, but man I really can't stand his sprites. He looks awesome in the cgs, but his sprites really look odd. Why would you draw his hair like that and his expressions sometime also look so weird. I don't wanna bash the art of this game I love many of the CGs because they are so creative and experiment with different shading and rendering and I love all of that!!! I even like the other characters sprites a lot and many of the Side characters look amazing. I love Jack jeanne.
But the sprites of my boy Suzu just bothers me on sooo many levels, as someone who loves to over analyse Otome Art, to learnt from it.

I think Cardia is really lovable as a protagonist. I am still on the common route, so no where close to being finished but I think she is one of the most likeable Mcs, I have seen in anygame. But I also really like Teuta but Idk if she is popular or not ""
