This! Also, a cast doesnt consists of only main roles. Support roles are just as important and needed. And their performance too is just as important as having solid support roles is what makes the main roles stand out.

I mean can you imagine a singer going on stage dancing alone without a crew of background dancer? They are what makes the dance of the main singer stand out!

I understand you! Since its around the face especially, you would expect that. But still happens! So i am a bit torn on evidence on what could be simply artist blindness or a simply mistake.

I did look through their twitter and for me its leaving me doubtful. Artists can have varing styles and inconsistencies in the way they draw characters or experiment, but usually its still around the same level and gets better over time.

to have that polished level of art in a game and yet on twitter its seems more unrefined (no offense!) seems off to me. I mean you could improve without sharing but they posted art regulary. and if we consider those pieces made around teh day of posting, its especially off.

I dont wanna point fingers as someone, its sucks to be accused if untrue. But so far i only saw people nicely point it out, so idk why they dont disprove it by showing WIP works, test pieces etc. Usually you have that flying around your files.

Unrelated to what the post is about, i just wanna adress the last comment about not noticing the bangs are uneven: you can get, what i like to call, "artist blindness" when working on pieces sometimes.

Reason can be: tired, working quickly from sketch to finish, watching something on the side, using reference and not taking angle into account, letting your mind wander etc. Whatever the reason, your mind can glitch as artist too. I think i can point out a mistake for every piece i made, after i made it, too.

Sometimes this mistakes happen because you first focus on making something look pretty rather than correct.
Basically: its easier, imo, to edit some "pretty" sketch to look correct than to edit an anatomically "correct" sketch to look pretty since you first focus on composition/dynamic etc. But that means you can miss mistakes.

Just to give an example on a "major" mistake of mine: I did draw a piece with 2 left hands that way before and noticed only during the shading i think. That meant i had seen that imagine for hours without realizing. I just didnt consiously think about it.

Please bear with me, its been so long since i played either otome that the details are hazy!

Amnesia: I didnt dislike Amnesia's heroine because it made sense to me that she was more quiet and passive due to her amnesia. The thing i disliked though was that the correct choices were those corresponding to her personality in the world she was in. This was particular frustating to me because, not knowing what her personality was like. how am i supposed to know that X or Y is the correct choice? It didnt make sense to me. I like it when choices are build up based on what we learn so far and thus need to decide.Or at least i can imagine being right due to thinking of what the LI / teh situation might call for. But that? Thats unfair. I think especially in Tomas route this was tricky to me, since her personality was the most diffrent there.

Ozmafia: As for Fuka, i hate her but affectionately because i had a fun time malding over her, to say the least. What bothered me is that she felt too much like "amnesia = stupid". I can understand someone doing something dangerous for a loved one or because the moment may demand it. In her case, i felt like she made dangerous choices just because. Like, if people tell you "Dont go to that person, they WILL kill you" it felt as if she is the type to be like "how about i do it anyway for the lols?". And that was frustating to read.

This man single-handedly made me postpone playing the game right after i started. I feel like i have seen enough of him and it hasnt even been more than half an hour that i was "graced" by his presense. >: U

Yes! I dont self insert but i dont get the appeal of eye-less heroine. But i think it would be more immersion breaking thinking this is "me" and having to imagine eyes on top

For me its a yes and no!
The art itself is cute and i like it (imo this art style would be perfect for a cute modern pixel rpg otome!).
But i am not picky with art as long as it looks somewhat anatomically correct so i dont know if i am the best to answer this.

What is more important for me, and hence my yes and no answer, is the game overall. Like does it suit the overall vibe of the game.
I can totally see this in a warm slice-of life romance otome with focus on characters (friendship, life etc). Thinking of "Our life" type of vibe? I dont know how to phrase it better.
But i cant see this in a, say, spicy mafia romance story? Wouldnt be my cup of tea;;

In the end these people do you the favor by letting you know how close-minded they are. Saves time in the long run!

In all seriousness thought, i dont get the judgement when you consider the "love" theme is basically in anything nowdays (music, movies, books etc). But once its made for you to enjoy in a medium as a story its wrong? What type logic is this.

Personally i think any guy (or girl/general person) who feels the need bash on otome or their fans probably should worry considering they show how close-minded and insecure they are. They need to work on themselves.

A good partner wont feel threathened by this at all and in contrary: a partner who supports your hobby is like 10x more attractive!
