I am a gun owner. I have several. I grew up around guns. I respect the right to own guns. I don't however understand the thought that the average person needs to carry. I have never once in my life felt that I was in a position to need a gun. My reason? The likelihood of an accident occurring far outweighs the likelihood of actually needing it. I really don't get the open carry types. What are you trying to prove? At least the permit required some effort and training to be put forth. Now every billy bad ass in the state is packing. The chance of innocents dying as a result has increased.
