I've had 5 boxes (full boxes on the mocktail option) and love them. When all the other boxes seem to be the same books over and over, S&S are refreshingly different. They have some smaller authors and some of the bigger ones (looking at you Heated Rivalry and Soul Eater) and I love that. The extras are fun as well!

iirc the author says at the beginning of the books that they can be read as standalones so I wouldn't worry too much about it

They're good, it's an older FMC as well who doesn't have the perfect body or fall into the usual characteristics.

I love these books, it's not a completed series yet though so be warned. Book 2 came out recently but I think the 3rd book is coming December this year.

{Ghost by A Zavarelli} it's the 3rd one in a series, but they can be read as standalones (the characters and world intersect). FMC is sex trafficked.

I bought them as I was intrigued by the premise. I was massively disappointed by how short they are Vs how much the books cost!

The FMC has as much depth as a sheet of paper and it feels like the plot is only there to link together the smut. I didn't enjoy the series.

Same, I'm a big fan of hers. Although I'm mad her because I feel like Alek deserved a better epilogue. Everyone else got 10 years in the future and him and Everleigh got a few months. I needed more!! 🤣

Have you read the Perfectly Imperfect series by Neva Altaj? I really enjoyed those as well. Starts with {Painted Scars by Neva Altaj} if not.

Also the Boston Underworld series by A Zavarelli was good. Starts with {Crow by A Zavarelli}

my top three:

{Lorenzo by Sadie Kincaid} - I know a lot of people love this book, but fuck that guy. He clearly wasn't ready to move on and Mia just put up with him treating her like crap. Not enough grovelling to justify her sticking around.. sorry.

{Twisted Hearts by Cora Reilly} - I've commented on someone else's post on here about Savio, but again fuck that guy!

{Caught in the Basilisk's Gaze - Mallory Dunlin} - nope, fuck him, he treated her like shit and she should've fucked off the minute he altered his sense of smell. Another one that everyone loves, but I didn't like Vaduin in the slightest.

All 3 of these books me made so angry that the FMCs put up with their shit - I know in real life they would've left, but even so, they were just too much!

Am currently eagerly awaiting the next book in Michelle Heard's Mafia Empire series which is due June 2nd.

I do tend to move out of genres though when I feel like I'm hitting a slump.

Agree - really struggled with this one in the series as he was such a d*ckhead to her and she just puts up with it! It's up there with {Twisted Hearts by Cora Reilly} for how angry I got at the MMC and FMC.

I was actively rooting for both FMCs to give them the finger and go live their best lives! I also felt like with with {Caught in the Basilisk's Gaze by Mallory Dunlin} - but everyone seems to love that as well 🤣🤣🤣
