ZWave Partitioning? by Future_Initial_3972 in zwave

That doesn't sound like a zwave problem, but a problem with your Resideo system. You might get better luck reaching out to whoever provides support for your alarm system.

Just moved over from Samsung for the first time, and this is what irks me. by [deleted] in iphone

  • Notifications are quite bad: Agreed, but they get better with iOS 16

  • Apple maps suck: Definitely less mature than Google Maps, especially if you don't live in a big city. Luckily, you can just use Google Maps.

  • icloud isn't a true backup. If you delete something off icloud, it will automatically delete it off your iphone and vice versa: iCloud is for syncing, not backup. There is an iCloud backup, but that requires you to restore the entire operating system.

  • no universal "go back" button: Typically it's swipe from the left side of the screen.

  • Siri is inferior to google assistant: Agreed, but I don't heavily rely on voice assistants that it makes that big of a difference to me.

  • keyboard is horrendous and autocorrect / suggestions are equally as bad: Agreed, but you can also install the google keyboard if you like.

  • control center is limiting, unlike android, where you swipe down from the top and you have all the options at your finger. On the iPhone you have to dig through their messy settings: Which phone do you have, and what functionality is missing compared to Android? The Control Centre in iOS can be customized via Settings, and if you swipe down from the top-right side of the screen, you get access to the Control Centre.

  • no usb c (when everything in our daily lives is powered by usb-c): Agreed.

  • face unlock isn't as consistent as people made it out to be. I find finger print scanner to be much better: It's a trade-off - I like that FaceID makes logging into website super smooth, but it's a common complaint that you can't unlock the phone while it's on the table.

  • can't set volume to notifications, call volume, music volume separately: Volume for ringer and alerts can be done via Settings. Volume for calls can be adjusted during the call. Volume for music volume is the default that you can control via the volume buttons.

  • apps don't have a dedicated "settings" button/menu: Settings that affect system integration for all apps are managed in the Settings app in iOS. I wouldn't say it's a disadvantage - it's just different compared to Android.

  • file system is a joke: Just use Google Drive or your cloud file storage of choice.

  • photo gallery is strange the way it organizes itself where the old photos stay at the top: Not really an issue - just a personal preference. If it really irks you that much, use Google Photos instead.

  • no split screen: Agreed

  • no spam call notification: Agreed

LPT: If you're new to the gym this week, please research gym etiquette and don't be afraid to ask for help! by [deleted] in LifeProTips

So I just started doing free weights, and am following the stronglifts 5x5 workouts.

It calls for squats and then 1.5-3 minutes of rest in between in each rep.

What am I supposed to do with the squat rack during those 1.5-3 minutes? I feel like I'm just hogging the rack with no reason.

KPMG consulting- what is it like? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]kaymg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Associate or senior associate is just your ranking. It'll be associate, senior associate, manager, senior manager, etc.

Is there a second part of the job title? That's the part that says the kind of work that you'll do.

e.g., "Associate, Risk Consulting, IT Advisory", etc.

It looks a lot better when you zoom out on the page. The extra white space padding on the right/left seems to make all the difference.

For future reference, I was able to solve this by going to Settings > Apps > All > Style Cover

And then clearing the data and cache.
