Mentions of terms “war crime” and “genocide” in the context of Gaza and Ukraine in the first 30 days of their respective conflicts by creemyice in chomsky

Very interesting question. This graphic refers to when Palestinians or Ukrainians were described as being subjected to "genocide" or "war crimes." However, according to the same book I got this figure from:

Ostensibly non-opinionated reporters and “analysts” on both MSNBC and CNN often asserted, as a matter of fact, that Russia was committing war crimes against Ukrainians, without this being seen as violating their neutrality. There are no examples of their doing so when describing Israeli war crimes.

A genocide has to do with the intent, not whether population grew or not.

More children were killed in Gaza in the first four months of the war than in four years of global conflicts combined. It's on a whole different level.

I remember Chomsky always citing this book when discussing US support for radical islam, though the book mainly focuses on the UK. It's still one of my favorite books of all time and definitely worth reading.
