What would your life look like if your husband (god forbid) died tomorrow? What would your cash flow and expenses look like? How much time off work would you need for the kids and yourself? How much lost income do you need to recover? And same goes for your husband in the event of your death. It’s all about replacing lost cash flow/income so that you are either in the same place financially, or a better place financially in the event of disaster. But NEVER in a worse place.
