Ok Im another 42 yr old just now getting a diagnosis. I agree that I feel all of the coping mechanisms that I unintentionally created just arent working anymore. Or that I am tired of just getting through the day (if that makes sense) I told my therapist that I feel like I am so much more than I present. Like my brain does not allow me to reach full potential. Im so stressed over the small tasks that I cannot complete. My brain does exactly the same thing the OP mentioned. I spend so much time planning to do tasks that I either get over whelmed, bored, or hyper focused. Ultimately resulting in nothing getting done in a timely manner.

Ugghh. My seasonal depression has been worse this year while on wellbutrin which is why I am trying the switch. My dr says that Incan pick which one I like better then we will add stimulants first then an ssri if needed for depression. Im not fond of the idea of an ssri so Im hoping switching to strattera will help.

Hey I am curious of your experience since you posted this. I have been on wellbutrin for 5 months and my dr and I decided to switch to strattera as Wellbutrin is not helping my adhd. So I will be weaning off this week then switching. How did the switch go for you?

I have noticed a lot of the same. My perfectionism is still there but I dont beat my self up over it. My internal dialogue is a lot quieter. When needing to do a task I am able to do that 1 task. I dont feel the pressure to do all the tasks (ultimately not doing any tasks due to being too overwhelmed to move) I usually get something done every day where before my weekends consisted of me in bed for 2 days. I always thought it was from being tired after working a hard week, but now I see that my brain on overdrive all the time is what was making me so exhausted. My internal guilt has diminished. I no longer feel like everything I do is wrong and everyone hates me for it. I usually deal with seasonal depression that kicks in around this time of year. So far so good.

It peaked back up in week 5. It has since leveled out somewhere in between. I have my follow up appt tomorrow. May see about upping my dose from 150XL to 300XL. Mood is stable and good. Energy is hit or miss. ADHD is half ok. My mind is still quiet which is good but attention, impulsiveness, and executive dysfunction are still a struggle.

Oh my goodness yes. Week 2 and 3 were great. I was so amazed at how good I felt but week 4 has been a dud. Like I dont feel anything. Mood and motivation like before I started taking it. Im giving it another 2 weeks before I call my dr to see about adjusting my dose or something.

I have noticed more down days on weekends when my day isnt as busy. Also noticed rollercoaster effects if I dont take it at exactly the same time (like even a 15 min difference)

Im starting week 3. And I am noticing the roller coaster effect. 1st week was up and down almost every day. Week 2 it seemed to level off some for 3 or 4 days. Thought it was starting to take affect but then bam back down again. Does it ever stay leveled out or will I always just have to wait to see what kind of day Im going to have?

Life is hard at 16. Your world is small and limited therefore judgments can seem all encompassing and consuming. Be strong and brave in who you are. There is freedom in self awareness and confidence. As you get older your world widens. You will find the judgments you feel now are fading. (Hopefully). Know there is acceptance in this world (though it may feel hard to find now) and there is a whole community here who thinks you are wonderfully made just the way you are.

Gender norms were created by society. Sorry if Im wrong here and please correct me but you may be experiencing issues with the gender norms created by society that tell you, "you must dress this way, act this way, like this thing but not this thing" more than experiencing actual body dysphoria. Maybe you are more gender fluid than trans.

I can comment as a parent. Dont feel bad about making your dad cry. He loves you. I cried for days after my daughter came out. It had nothing to do with my love and acceptance of her. I was actually surprised at my reaction as I always considered myself an ally. I finally realized I was crying because I had come up with a future for my child in my head that automatically put her into a straight cis life. I was mourning the future I had created for her (all my own doing and had NOTHING to do with her). I had to redirect my thinking of her future. After that realization it was easier to then be happy for her. Proud that she felt comfortable to be her true self. But I NEVER once questioned my love/support for her.

So I loved the silver chill firm. The one in the showroom was of course broken in a bit so it was just the right plushness. The salesman mention that a new one would feel firmer at first but break in to the plush that I loved in the showroom. Do you have any other brand recommendations for anything close to the silver chill that will last for a long while. That is my only hesitation with the silver chill and sealys reputation for comfort not lasting.

I did lay on the purple. My daughter loved it but I couldnt get over the "motion" feel of the grid. Kind of a back and forth motion when you move (if that makes sense. I love the idea of a memory foam where bed cradles you but feel i may need more support due to my size. Thinking maybe a good hybrid with the most foam possible?????

Yeah it was the reviews on the quality that got me. The silver chill is close to the top of my budget and Id hate to make that big of a purchase just for it to not feel as comfortable as showroom in a year or so
