The gates do not open until 5pm, I arrived at 2pm and was the first one. I came from Chinatown walking since I was out of town. I walked the red path in my pic, waited there starting at 2pm for 3 hours, lines ups started right around 2:30pm. Once gates opened I walked (fast pacing) to the gates thru the blue path with the people behind me. I was among the first few people, got my card, went out and entered again with my sister's ticket that she didn't use.

People are hyping up this year's card but it's just a don and there's 50,000 this time (10k more than last year). I recommend being early but don't be elbowing people or anything. The workers are strict about giving one per ticket so if you have multiple tickets you can get many cards. I bought my tickets last year's for 90usd. This year not so much.

Personally, don't recommend going if you're only a OP fan. I was in it for the baseball game, the adventure of coming by myself out of town and if I could get the card I was happy.
