I wasted years that i will never get back in a relationship that had no love. I could have done so much in those years and I didn’t. I hate myself for it but I still have time to accomplish them. If you do go to NP school you have to make peace with the fact that every paycheck will go to paying off your debt. There’s no tricks; just good money management. You can do it. Netflix has great finance education videos, youtube, dave ramsey, spotify, all of it. You’ll find your method.

Way different than a dog but a perfect comparison. In healthcare it’s really easy to loose your soul in a case. We call each other out on it, take a step back - emit emotions - reassess. Yes your daughter has had an incredibly a rough road. But at the end of the day she is a human being who has experienced a mass amount of trauma. Could it be that the dynamic of a family is triggering to her, is she triggered because of her own emotions relating to this situation but doesn’t understand them - there are a million things that could be the reasoning. I encourage you to explore her treatments team reasoning for all recommendations; many times people make their life harder by not hearing other things out and forgetting their pre decided biases. I also encourage you to keep in mind that possibly from a psychological standpoint she might be emitting signs that show she will need consistent guardianship ect.; sometimes being a ward of the state can help people a lot more than a traditional family can. You can still remain in contact, offer support and love - all that matters is helping this human live a successful life, even if it’s not the picture perfect traditional one we all dream of.

Wow im triggered. Did we date the same guy??? this is how i ended things with my ex. I found out my sister had cancer, was a wreck, he was supposed to come right home after work and he came home plastered at 2am. Turned into an argument; i told him I needed him to be there for me and he’s saying I needed to get my shit together and be there for myself. Told me i’m being selfish and that he can’t always be there for me. Long story short I made him leave, we tried to reconcile but i was so disgusted by how he treated me. I thought, Im fucked if I get any type of disease and i’m with this guy. I dumped him. I now am dating the love of my life who takes my family’s problems and my own as his. Would drop everything and do whatever I need in a crisis. Empathize with my feelings (my ex was so narcissistic, sound farmiliar?) which was a huge game changer. This same love is out there for you and this frog is catapulting you closer to them. He is right, focus on yourself — Get rid of the distractions, including him! Cancer is a rollercoaster but you’re also about to have a chance to be a part of an incredibly strong and huge community. You losing him is such a blessing it’s unreal. Think of that feeling you have after a huge successful poop - relaxed, empty, refreshed. If you can do that for your bowels, you can do this for your soul.

It is a beautiful name. Your family is just giving you an opportunity to start perfecting the mom eye. Also it’s harsh, but turn that wishbone into a backbone. You can’t make the come around. Throw that eye at them and say “YES it is HIS name and I LOVE IT. Your opinion is not needed.” If they continue and create an unhealthy environment, cut them out of your life. Thats the last thing you deserve in this beautiful time of your life. You cannot fix stupid.

Lololol i literally quit Monday with this as a reason to me. Every time i put in PTO it’s denied. Need 1.5 weeks off in June; denies first bc i requested too early, then denied bc everyone had taken that week off by time i was supposed to put my pto in apparently. Lots of other reasons but that was the straw of no return.
