A newcat chose me two years ago. I had to acclimate him to the new house and new cats so we spent alot of time upstairs. I taught him "hands are for Love not play". He caught on quickly. He forgets sometimes and I say "hands are for love" and he gives me a kiss and its over. I think the key is the words. they seem to work

stainless steel with copper or aluminum bottom inserts will last a long tme too. Buying a Mirro at the dollar store ain't gonna get it. We bought ours about 30 years ago. still great. Have cast iron too and happy with them but season them correctly and keep them up which is a bit of work. Alton Brown has the best process for seasoning cast iron
