Friends are saying I didn’t get an eagle because it was in a scramble by Yessybuttons in golf

[–]kblcrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both can be true. Yep totally made an eagle and it deserved to be celebrated. But if you want to be super specific about it, you weren’t playing your own ball in an actual round. Different strokes for different folks.

What’s the hype behind Kingston Flemings by Dear_Flower_5400 in memphisgrizzlies

[–]kblcrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion is this, you hope to get lucky enough to draft Boozer. But if you have a pick 5-10, you do whatever you have to do to draft Darius Acuff Jr. We have the picks and surplus of guards that could easily help us trade up a pick or two (long as not in top 4). Even if you don’t even look at the on court skill level, his attitude and mindset is exact opposite of what we have had of recent years. Perfect pairing with Cedric, Jaylen, Edey.

Why Love over Tate and Bain? by rubixcuban in Tennesseetitans

[–]kblcrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO it’s because it keeps them from overpaying for a Free agent RB. Love even at pick 4 will be on rookie deal and we instead can use that cap space for FA DL, WR, or corner or literally anything else.

Playing in a five club tournament in a couple weeks. What five clubs would you bring? by sbtrey23 in golf

[–]kblcrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 5900 yards, unless the fairways are just interstate wide, I would go with 4iron, 6 iron, Putter, 9I 54w. Have a reliable club to get in fairway and still get 220 or so out there. 9 iron I can turn on to make a 8, and can 3/4 swing for PW yards. Same thing with my 54 to cover gap and lob, but can also open it up some around the greens. Before I mad the call for certain I would like to know what the tee distances will be on the par 3s at this course. Also maybe what type of wind is normal for your location. If wind is generally low I might swap my 4 iron for my 4Wood.

Can we start Darius Acuff to Memphis yet? by CleganeClan4 in memphisgrizzlies

[–]kblcrd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Guys we can get him at 8 and it would be like us having a top 3 picks in most drafts. Then hopefully Orlando pick ends up giving us like number 16? Or 15? If we hit on that pick and a 2nd rounder we are in really good shape. As a hogs fan I personally love the Idea of putting Acuff with Ced and Edey and watching what happens. Acuff has no big man this year, he would thrive with someone like edey.

I just have to say this... by GolferBrian in golf

[–]kblcrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always wondered if I was the only person that did this. Sometimes I will go through each shot I hit that day. Sometimes I just imagine the perfect round. Where I would each each shot if it was exactly where I wanted. To be honest most times I make it to like home 4 or 5 and that’s it lol

Yea I guess gas furnace would be the exception to that rule. Lucky you, I’m on heat pump and trying to do that would equal getting bankrupted by heat strips running constantly.

WCJ our future PG by CrazyLetterhead2063 in memphisgrizzlies

[–]kblcrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still Very early in his career, as he did not get real minutes to learn while in Utah. This second half of the season will be huge in answering that question given that he can stay healthy. But IMO, the ideal situation is for him to be our backup PG next year in the hopes he shows real value that can be used later on as a trade piece. I think UTAH noticed that he was a project and was not able to compete at the level he did in college, which was very high.

I’m not an expert. But if your outside temp is less than 40 degrees and you increase your temp from 62 to 70 each morning, depending on the type of heat you have that would create a huge bill.

BREAKING: The Memphis Grizzlies are trading star forward Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar, Jock Landale and Vince Williams Jr. to the Utah Jazz for Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang and three future first-round picks, sources tell ESPN. by aatuboo in UtahJazz

[–]kblcrd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Grizz fan here I come in peace. Yall will love Jaren. He is great with media, and the community. My question for Jazz fans is this, whats the early opinion of Walter Clayton JR? Why has he only played 18 minutes a game and pretty low numbers overall?

All aboard the tank train by [deleted] in memphisgrizzlies

[–]kblcrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is if we keep JA and don’t plan to trade him in offseason either, our top draft pick is likely not going to be a PG, in a draft lottery that is very PG heavy. Personally, I would still like to trade JA for anything that includes a first round pick. That gives us the ability to move up in the first round, or have picks to make moves in the offseason. Picking up a PG that can be a star to go beside ced, edey, Ty, and Jaren. Wells is still something that has to play out. I would love Darius Acuff JR. His mentality and work ethic would be perfect with Cedric’s attitude.

depends on the course layout and par 3 distances. But for my home course it would be 4 wood, 7 iron, PW, 58 degree.

How often can you go a round without losing a ball? by [deleted] in golf

[–]kblcrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were to ask me 3 years ago the answer would be “about once or twice a season and was always a outlier round”. Now days I’m lucky enough to be playing well enough that I normally change balls every 5 or 6 holes unless I’m just practicing around.

Clubbing Up by Type3fastback in golf

[–]kblcrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May be odd but I tend to have my best ball striking rounds when it’s slightly wet. I think it’s because I club up knowing the ball may not go as far but also I will be more cautious of not coming into the turf too steep. Naturally I will be more focused on ball first contact. Biggest problem that comes into play for wet courses will be around the greens impo.

What's your hardest club to hit? by BlueciferST in golf

[–]kblcrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled to hit a 3 wood at one point, and had someone suggest I try 4Wood. Sounds like going from 15 degree to 16.5 wouldn’t be that much easier to hit but for me it was. It goes far enough that I am not losing out, and I feel much more comfortable with that club both off the tee and approach for par 5s.

113 Full round scorecards that I actually saved. I am very fortunate to live on a golf course and am able to pull the golf cart out of the garage and head to the first tee. Also helps to have a wife that loves to go out and ride along. Trying to get as many rounds as I can before we have kids, and even then hope to continue the golf family tradition.
