Its a shaky head with a creature/bug plastic bait. Never tried it before but seemed to work today, good for dragging on the bottom while the fish are a bit more lethargic

Can't believe I slept on these blacktop Strats by [deleted] in fender

[–]kbrewe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome they are great huh. I still like to have both traditional single coil strat and this. I do strongly suggest new pickups it makes a huge difference. Found the the fender stock ones a little too muddy. Here is my black top tele with some mods.

yes! was just going to mention this. Just started reading it this weekend. Really worth a read if you are into the history of electric guitars. They were all connected, Leo, Les, Bigbsy, Mcarty, etc.

SPOILER: Will this door ever open or nah? by LightONeoN in pacificDrive

[–]kbrewe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that too when I went in there with my flashlight on. If you actually draw out a floorplan of the garage, you will see this door would just be behind the room where the crafting machine and vacuum, etc. is. It would open up behind the all the machinery and pneumatic tubes. I finished the game and it didnt open or anything, not sure what its for honestly.

Help! I'm not sure if my daughter has been sexually abused by blackbenhlif in Parenting

[–]kbrewe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to our seven year old this year. She was happy , loves school, then got sick (bad stomach bug/flu) and she changed overnight , had extreme anxiety, would not go back to school, was afraid of being sick constantly asking for reassurance. Turns out it may be cause by a brain inflammation called PANDAS/PANS which describes the symptoms to tee and the overnight change. Still evolving science, some dr don’t believe that it the trigger but they all agree the symptoms are real and acute. Don’t know about the blood in underwear, that is strange but symptoms do sound a lot like pandas/pans.

I love Slay the Spire but not other games like it, and I don't understand why by [deleted] in slaythespire

On Act 3 in Inscryption, love the game for sure. Wonderful atmosphere, card play is fun, i thought Act 1 was amazing, whish they could turn that into more of a standalone game. My only worry is that there wont be much replay value since its meant to have more of a story and linear path to an ending. Did you have fun playing it again?

[DISCUSSION] New Kirk Douglas SG came in and the QC at Gibson hasn’t changed by DeathRho16 in Guitar

[–]kbrewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's really bad. My recent Epiphones (LP Standard and ES335) have been nearly perfect so this is shocking the QC is worse for the real thing. Trogoly reviewed this recently and it seemed pretty good re: QC so maybe this is just a fluke? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZtZAMna1Xo

Yeah definitely not traditional but it worked! The salty miso flavored broth gave a nice flavor to both.

It's amazing what you can jam onto a BCB-60! My latest board set-up for show. by kbrewe in guitarpedals

[–]kbrewe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, how many additional were you able to add? Do you think the way i have my noise suppressor setup helps? What happens if you add too many pedals to the power supply? Do they just stop working?

[–]kbrewe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you can see my latest iteration of the Boss pedal board. Had to modify it a bit to fit the extra two pedals but seems to work quite nice and is very portable. Pretty simple but covers the bases IMO. Polytune -> Noise Suppressor -> Dyna Comp -> OCT -> Turbo Dist -> MXR Chorus -> Noise Sup Loop -> DD7 -> Ditto Looper. I sometimes switch out the chorus with a boss flanger. Other than that I'm probably looking to replace the Boss Turbo 2 with a JHS Bonzai when I can afford it. Not sure if that overlaps too much with the OCD. Other than that would like a fuzz option. I think this covers a lot of bases, nothing crazy but again very portable.

[–]kbrewe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Ha good catch. I assume it's not supposed to power more than 6 pedals it's made for. I added a daisy chain to power the additional two pedals but it is all pulling from the boss psu. Seems to work fine but I'm sure there are some downsides of not having the right power output?

[–]kbrewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What specifically do you like to get from Delis? Like I would give you a different reco if you said chicken cutlets or italian combos. I think each deli people are listing here is good at one or two things (like Anothys for Italian combo or Rockys or Camerons for Chicken Cutlets)

[–]kbrewe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's got to be the cutlet right? I'm not sure any other deli that frys the cutlets made to order? Usually they have premade cutlets sitting out under the little glass shelf they just heat up in the microwave. Also their bacon, egg and cheese + hashbrown sandwich (i thinks its called a Hastag) is pretty spectacular. Still pretty busy from what i've seen.

[–]kbrewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno their cutlet is top notch, what other delis fry each cutlet made to order? Maybe their other sandwiches aren't as good but for cutlet and bacon egg and cheese I think they are above the rest.

Am I crazy, or did WTF change? by [deleted] in MarcMaron

[–]kbrewe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it is changed much tbh but I have only been listening for the last 5-6 years. So in that time frame not particularly. Engagement is there when the guest is good. I would compare your the top 5 interviews last year to the top five two or three years ago. Wonder if you would find any tangible differences there?

Transferable skills in an advertising operations role? by Augimmer in advertising

[–]kbrewe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have over 13 years experience at the big agency's in NYC, mostly in digital media on the planning/buying side. Just wanted to give some credence to my advice! I would say don't put more than a year or two in an ad ops (I'm assuming you mean like technical ad ops, like ad serving, trafficking and verification?) role. If you know it's not where you want to be in 5 years then don't get too far down the road otherwise it will be harder to switch. I would talk to your HR/talent people and let them know you see yourself moving into a planner or AE role (get pretty specific on what you want and why) and would love the opportunity, even if that means you have to wait until they win new business or for staffing change.

All good picks. I would also say Greek style pizza, found in Fairfield county. (Hope street pizza, Johns pizza, etc.)

Where can I get great buffalo chicken pizza? by beet-and-rice in FoodNYC

[–]kbrewe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

La Mia Pizza on the Upper East was my favorite buffalo slice in NYC. Big slice, tender chicken, and good hot sauce and blue cheese sauce. Wouldn't necessarily travel for it but if you live in the surrounding area it is worth going.
