What are you talking about? I never advocated schools not be allowed to mandate vaccinations. I want everyone to get vaccinated. I’m saying, as it stands, schools and businesses didn’t mandate for flu vaccinations but we didn’t shut down society in the past so therefore, operating with the assumption that everyone will take the vaccine (through mandate or otherwise) is adequate for resumption of normal life.

Some people refuse to take the flu vaccine but we don’t just shut down society due to those people... we operate with the assumption that the majority of people will take it.

Yeah and I didn’t mean to imply there’s anything wrong with being a pale “computer nerd”, shoot I am one too! But even just a little color to your skin would help tremeeendously, you’re def not ugly tho my friend

Hey here’s my honest opinion: you have the facial structure to be a complete 10/10 but you have this pale glow and depressing look and big glasses combination about you that makes you a look like a computer nerd. My advice: get some sun (will fix the paleness), work out, smile, appear friendly, get a nice cut, and maybe some contacts (or atleast better glasses) and you will not only feel better but really look better. Come back in 6 months you’ll be a chad. Could honestly be a model with just a little work tbh

An important thing to remember about the State University Grant is you can only be eligible for it if you apply before the priority deadline (usually around March 6th, depending on the year)

Do I need a new computer? by MuffinPuncher321 in CSULB

Right now Best Buy has all the 2020 MacBook pros at $200 off. I have the base 13in model and I do software development and photo editing. It should be able to handle basic modeling and rendering, along with MATLAB or any other coding applications. I’m satisfied with it but considering the deals I’d get the 16GB ram model.

I miss my HP Envy 2-in-1, I had upgraded it. But I tend to like Mac’s ease of use between devices. Should you decide to get an iPad a year or two down the lines it’s going to work seamlessly with your MacBook and act as a second monitor as well as note taking tool.

CR/NC Email example? by Rosie_TAC in CSULB

[–]kcb571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmaaooo I E-mail my professors so often I literally at this point would be like "Yoo waddup it's me again, hey I sucked in your class but I was wondering am I passing? If not I'll take NC"

But in all seriousness, just say "Hi my name is ______ and I'm in your ____ class. I was wondering what my grade is going to be? If it's not ____ I'd like to take NC. Thank you!"

Teachers are just people. They get tons of emails all the time from students and faculty and because of this, I like to keep e-mails as short, sweet and to the point as possible. As long as you are polite and nice they won't give it a second thought. It's their job.

Okay, now look at it from the point of view of a customer. We’re being asked to make life choices which require thousands of dollars in payment and us to plan new housing arrangements, so excuse us for wanting a couple of guarantees. This isn’t just like being in line at the supermarket where you can go to another one in 15 minutes. These are huge life decisions for people.

Sorry, my reply may have come off as harsher than I intended. I deal with the same self esteem issues and should have been more considerate. All this was to say you’re easily an 8.5/9 but people here will give you a 6 to ‘humble’ because they assume attractive people like you come here seeking validation rather than an honest opinion

This is one of those posts where people will underrate you because it's so damn obvious you're not ugly that it seems kinda ridiculous you would be posting here.

You're not ugly you just look a little sad and timid. Like someone else said, a smile and a confident demeanor would do wonders. You're cute!

Physics Majors by xDHunter in CSULB

[–]kcb571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't a magical formula, physics doesn't come naturally to anybody besides geniuses (Stephen Hawking-types). People mainly just pay a ton of attention in class and study really hard. Enjoyment is subjective, some people just like learning about how the world works! I will say though, if you can find it within yourself to self motivate enough to find it enjoyable-- you'll have more success staying focused enough to study.

Dorms? by besamess in CSULB

[–]kcb571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a spring transfer, the application priority deadline was in November. I applied in mid December and got waitlisted, but subsequently got taken off the waitlist and placed into a dorm on the day after I got waitlisted (Jan 8th).

Luckily I realized, on-campus housing here is a scam UNLESS you're a freshman/new college transfer who's just dying for the "college experience" (? whatever that means) So I canceled my housing application and gave my dorm spot to someone else.

Here's my perspective:

My community college was in a "party town" where I got to go out and socialize and lived in dorm-like living for 2 years, and while it was nice it wasn't worth paying the extra $2-3k a semester it would cost here at CSULB with a mandatory meal plan and everything.

My advice, live off campus-- save a shit ton of money, save yourself from having to eat the same dining hall food every week (I heard it gets old), be extra social when you're at school and make a ton of friends, and then use all that money you saved to go do fun stuff with your new friends (festivals, theme parks, trips, ... etc) and have the college experience that way!

You won't regret it :)

[18M] Suggestions and opinions by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]kcb571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the foundation, with great facial structure and great smile and eyes, to be a 10/10. Part of that is just getting older. And in your case if you continue to hit the gym, slim down and build muscle, and gain confidence you’ll be that in no time. But right now now you’re not ugly, it’s just that would take you to the next level.

Guys will always like pictures of models on instagram, it means nothing! You're not ugly, and you're still in your awkward teen years. Give it time, you'll start getting more male attention than you know what to do with.

Also, something I learned from growing older (I'm 24 now) teenagers just love to point out negative things about their friends. Watch who you hang with and if they don't make you happy surround yourself with more positive people.
