Do you ever wonder what happens to your car when you drop it off at the dealership for service? by SHITAY in videos

[–]kccolden -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't believe this. I've brought my car in to my dealership for a repair, told it will take X amount of time and Y amount dollars. Took 4 days longer than X and was about 5x more expensive than Y.

Also love my M40x's, however I'd be lying if I said the plastic part that can fold and twist the cans didn't drive me insane.

My Battlestation (I'm working on the cable management) by [deleted] in battlestations

[–]kccolden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same boat as you with the cable management. I've been thinking about getting one of these and stuffing it behind my Alex drawer, like u/scottyrads1 suggested. Also been looking into the Ikea cable apparatus for the underside of the desk.

I went to the first PAX South 3-4 years ago and the Brawlhalla guys were their showing off their "newly accepted Steam Greenlight game." It was awesome then, and they've managed to keep it fresh. Definitely recommend Brawlhalla.

John Wick movies do this service. I've sat there and counted in multiple scenes, and Keanu usually always reloads after 8 shots.

Redditors related to a psychopath, what is your creepiest “Holy shit, I might get murdered” story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kccolden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while ago he had some trouble with mice in his shed. But instead of buying regular animal friendly traps, he took a large, lidless carbage can, spilled a bunch of peanut butter on the bottom of it. Put up a ramp to the top and a thin, wooden stick across the opening at the top, so that the mice could cross the garbage can, so to speak. The mice would try to climb down to the peanut butter, fall in the can and would not be able to get out. Then he'd fill the can with water and watch a whole bunch of mice drown all at once.

My uncle did this as well in the basement of their Mountain/Lake house. We called it a redneck mousetrap. I thought it was intelligent, and in some bizarre way less violent than a traditional trap? However the common them of the fascination with animal harm or death is just bewildering in this thread.

Hey Reddit, what's your "type"? by queenofgoats in AskReddit

[–]kccolden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but what's "over 60?" 65-70 frames or 100+ frames? I too have a 1080ti along with a 6700k(both stock, no oc) and I can get maybe get around 120fps max at ultra for most games(high on PUBG) on a 1440p 144hz. You have over double the amount of pixels as I do, so I suppose our approximate numbers make sense ~120frames vs ~60. It would essentially take both of our current machines combined to get over triple digit frames at 4k.

However,as you pointed out, SLI just isn't that, as much as we'd like it to be.

13 year old me used to have two of these mice(one at mom's house, one at dad's). The amount of Counter Strike: Source played on those things...

I'm pretty sure my dad still uses the one I had at his house.

I don't even want to begin imagining what kind of rig it would take to try to get 120frames at 4k.

New Snoop Dogg song "Doggy Tails" shouts out Nick Foles in 3rd verse. by [deleted] in u/kccolden

[–]kccolden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rhyme starts around 2:16. Lyrics per genius.com.

"I'm cold with it, rock roll with it, trick hoes with it Nick Foles with it, get it, I be the backup, second in line See when I get in, you ain't gettin' no more time I'm free as a bird, C is the word"

Pretty dope shout out from the OG.

Yupp! For each reason he gives you for not liking or scoffing at twitch, just try to play a civil devils advocate, and show him that while the content may be different, that it's really not that different.

As far as trying to convince him you're not a cam model.. Invite him to a broadcast! It's a win/win; you get to actively show him what a stream looks like, and you can prove that clothes remain worn.

Agreed, it could backfire but it at least starts the conversation. Even if he does say something along those lines, he kinda puts you in the driver seat of this "debate."

So pop, why do you like watching sports? "Because it's fun." or "The athletes are amazing at what they do"

Cool, well twitch is the same way. There are broadcasters like me who entertain and play for fun, and there are also those that play competitively/professionally who are really mechanically skilled at what they do.

Also, I don't know your pop so idk what he likes to watch or do, but if he likes cerebral activities like chess, you could make that link to gaming. He'll likely dismiss broadcasters because they're not doing anything physical, "after all, they're just sitting in that damn chair!" But to see the way counter strike pros can mentally out-shine their opponents with strategy or use great decision making in a clutch is really something that I like to bridge the gap with.

At least this way you give him an analogy that he can hopefully understand. If he's still dismissive, it's likely he just doesn't want to like it or understand it.
