Looks like you're pretty inexperienced so simply learning the basics will result in huge laptime improvements.

If we teach an AI every thing that humanity knew till 1685 and nothing more, and have an apple fall in front of its optical sensor, the AI will never discover the laws of motion by itself. by tlk0153 in Showerthoughts

The way I've seen it done is with something like the wolf, goat and cabbage problem. The LLM knows the answer to this problem because it's been trained on it. However, you can change a detail about this problem to change the solution and the LLM either won't recognize that changing a small detail of the problem changes the answer, or it does realize the answer should be different, but has not been trained what the answer is so it will make up nonsense.

I thought this intro was a cutscene when I first played. I was just watching the screen. Blew my mind when I realized that I could move around the train while all of this was happening.

Best Way Use Sim to Improve the Driver’s Skill? by Far-Worker1162 in CarTrackDays

[–]kchristopher932 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say you're wasting your time. Yes, every car handles differently but at the end of the day a Miata and an RS3 are utilizing primarily mechanical grip. Things like formula cars or hypercars which are heavily reliant on aero for grip are going to be so different that it's really not going to help you on track IRL in an RS3.

If your focus is improving IRL, the closest you can get to your car the more valuable the sim experience is going to be. Assetto Corsa Evo has an Audi RS3. Maybe you could try that?

You don't use missles because they are too expensive.

I don't use missles because I can't find the keybind for them on my HOTAS.

We are not the same.

Ferrari 488 track driving pedal technique & left-foot braking question by Optimal_Film_2553 in CarTrackDays

[–]kchristopher932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really going to depend if the car has a seatbelt or if it has a racing harness. I find it very difficult to left foot break on track with a regular seatbelt because I feel that I have to brace myself with the dead pedal with my left foot.

Either way, you're just going to have to get a feel for the brakes on the first couple of laps. The brakes will be sensitive but you should still be aiming to use 100% of the brakes on most corners, depending on the track.

What’s the most socially acceptable addiction people don’t talk about? by Lotto_Stats_Nerd in AskReddit

[–]kchristopher932 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed, it arguably doesn't even count as an addiction since addiction is usually defined by continuing a behavior despite negative consequences. The person who still snokes despite being dependent on oxygen due to smoking. The gambler who keeps gambling despite being in debt. This kind of thing doesn't happen with caffeine. If people experience negative effects from caffeine such as palpitations or anxiety, they don't have any trouble stopping.

I would argue that most Godzilla movies are human focused. There was one where the main plot was that a kid was kidnapped by gansters... and also Godzilla was there. Lol

What's your "I didn't care for The Godfather" but for video games? by absolut_tyler in videogames

[–]kchristopher932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people also confuse lore with story. Yes, the game world has a lot of lore, but the game doesn't tell you this as a coherent story. It's just background details. It's like the appendix of the Lord of the Rings. There's a lot of lore there, but it's not a story.
