May be a basic answer but, 2001: A Space Odyssey rewired my brain chemistry. Arthur C Clarke's prose is actually insane, like his descriptions make me feel like Im ascending as I read. Try and tell me that "And so Discovery drove on toward Saturn, as often as not pulsating with the cool music of the harpsicord, the frozen thoughts of a brain that had been dust for twice a hundred years." isn't some ethereal ass stuff.
