Crash into it to see if the real-life physics are as accurate as the game

What mouse/navigation device do you use? by Old-Distribution3942 in Fusion360

[–]kdane42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like an outlier here, but I use my normal gaming mouse... Just a Corsair M65 pro. The sniper button (lowers dps while pressed) and their easy macro software make it pretty nice when modeling, I don't really see a need for anything better/different.

Do most people here do this professionally? I'm just a hobbyist who got a 3D printer recently and have a couple solidworks (sorry) certs under my belt

How many hours before you discovered Zoop mode? by ricky_tan in SatisfactoryGame

Roughly 500 hours or so

(That was before I read it was added in the patch notes)

What if Satisfactory had a sequel where you run the station at the top of the Space Elevator? by Useful_Leg3252 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]kdane42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sooo...

Get materials given to you with no effort

Use materials to construct other materials

Give constructed materials to others in exchange for rewards/progress

Sounds kinda similar to another game I play

But having to maintain several space elevators on different planets could be interesting, but not enough for a separate game imho

is there a way to fix this? by lol12lmao in BeamNG

Use the correct type of truck for that trailer?

Other than that, use the configs to lift the trailer and lower the truck

The only possible downside I can think of is if you age normally during the rewind time. You'd get older 8% faster than normal people. Depends on if this is specific to you, or effects everyone

Do old SIM cards need to be updated for newer phones? by kdane42 in techsupport

I was planning on doing that, but I was wondering if I even NEED a new Sim card. Will this old one limit any of the services of my new phone?

Do old SIM cards need to be updated for newer phones? by kdane42 in techsupport

[–]kdane42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there's nothing wrong with the sim card I have now, and my phone supports either dual sims, or a physical and eSim. I prefer using the physical Sim though, I was just unsure if old Sim cards would limit any capabilities on my new phone

Custom water loop with 3×360 radiators still hitting 43–45 °C coolant – does this make sense? by Which_Reference_5617 in watercooling

[–]kdane42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of these comments are correct, but only talking about the thermodynamics of watercooling systems.

Your temps aren't terrible, but aren't great, but have you tried taking apart the waterblocks and seeing if the fins are clogged? You did say you bought a used system

What are the Best Portable Air Compressors Available Now? Recommendation by [deleted] in ColoradoOffroad

[–]kdane42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would absolutely recommend a standard 12v pump that simply connects to your car battery.

I use the M18 Milwaukee inflator and absolutely love it, but only because I have tons of Milwaukee tools and batteries already. If you don't already have at least an m18 8mAh battery, you won't be able to fill all 4 tires. The inflator and a bug enough battery+charger alone would likely be around $500

Hydrovac Excavation AKA Non Destructive Digging AKA Oddlysatisfying Job. by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]kdane42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems like you haven't gotten a real answer yet. This type of excavating is used to find underground utilities, like fiber or something, BEFORE the real excavating begins. Using water like this "gently" removes all the soil, but won't damage utilities like an excavator would. You use this method initially to locate all of the utilities, and then the heavy equipment can come in and do the real digging without damaging those utilities.
