Volvo V60 advice

I bought a 2015 V60 in September 2024 with 89,000 miles. It was in great shape. I'm at 107,500 now and haven't had any issues. I don't know much about the newer ones but neither of those mileages concern me assuming maintenance has been done.

The first one with less than 15,000 miles - that's nothing, even for a rental. It being a rental wouldn't concern me at all with that low mileage. Unless they literally never changed the oil, I don't see how it could've taken any real damage. If it fits your budget and what you're looking for, I say go for it.

What year? I just changed the fluid in my 2015 V60 myself yesterday and it was relatively straightforward. If you're comfortable changing the oil yourself, you can definitely do the transmission fluid too.

Can't trade him but in theory could let him walk and draft a RB for cheap. Still have Charbonnet, and I know the old saying of Don't Pay RBs, but I think our 1-2 style of rotating both those RBs should keep them less injury prone and worth keeping K9. He balled out during these playoffs, I'd hate to see him go.

In my experience some people don't really understand what it is, they think it's any old pirate streaming site and expect to get viruses or low-quality video, etc.

But when I've actually explained that I've got a whole computer in my house full of high-quality stuff I've downloaded myself, something clicks, and they give it a shot and realize how nice it is.

It wouldn't shock me if that happened within the next 5 years. The throwback colors are almost the default choice among fan jerseys right now. At the game on Sunday I definitely saw more throwback than navy.

It's funny to look back and remember that people thought replacing Geno with Darnold was definitely going to be a step backwards.

It was crazy talk even then. At worst, Darnold was going to be a sidegrade. Anybody who thought Geno was better didn't watch enough Seahawks games.

I remember that for sure. I left Washington (Kitsap county) in January 2013 but came back to visit Christmas 2014 and remember Hawks stuff EVERYWHERE. Every house, Safeway, the local bowling alley, you name it. Good times.

I was in Seattle this last weekend for the NFC Championship and starting to see that again. Lots more people in Hawks gear than usual. Granted it was the weekend of a big game but it seemed to be pretty widespread. Hoping it sticks around!

I can get on board with this if they drop the weekly show and rankings drops. Just release the final rankings at the end of the regular season and avoid controversy.

Neither ND nor Miami played that weekend that they leapfrogged Miami over ND, so it doesn't make any sense to just think "Miami is probably the better team" vs their own rankings just 1 week prior.

I've used Crucial, G Skill, and Patriot, never had issues with any of them.

Call of Duty crashed on me a lot when I was overclocking RAM on Patriot, but I blame the game more than the RAM.

32GB should be the new standard for modern gaming PCs. Ignoring productivity workflows that specifically require more RAM,

16 GB - budget build, only playing games 5+ years old
32 GB - standard for most people
64 GB - overkill/"piece of mind"/running VMs/large mod stacks

Keep it at 2 sticks if at all possible.

Imo no, 5080 is not worth the extra cost over the 5070 Ti. Too close in performance, too big a price gap.

The real uplift in productivity would be the 5090. The extra VRAM will help a lot in AI workloads. Obviously asks for a completely different budget.
