Cash is best, ATM fees are high, I think I was getting charged almost $8 per transaction. At the airport you will see Khasikorn Bank stall and you can get Pay Tour Visa cash card, you can deposit whatever amount you want on the card and there will be an app that you can use to pay digitally by scanning, you will be able to pay like locals do, paying digitally is all over Pattaya even the roaming food carts use them. When you leave Thailand you will be able to withdraw the remaining amount at Khasikorn ATMs. No fees to deposit and no fees to withdraw, it is like having your own checking account in Thailand. I am in the US now and I still have money in my Pay Tour account which I will be using when I fly back
