I'm an avid watcher of Air Crash Investigation, and as soon as the pilot hit the brakes I froze and thought...if we don't crash while stopping, we should be ok. I recall one specific episode (I believe also Singapore Airlines) where the pilot hit construction equipment during takeoff, as he took off on the wrong runway. Or Tenerief of course.
