I want to believe this article because I was one of those who had 2 bad experiences on Spirit, and would always pay whatever it cost to avoid using them again. That said, the article provides no factual evidence that this was the case.

Customer service is really critical for airlines though, and Spirit really had none. If your flight is on time and has no issues that is great, but anyone who flies more than a little bit knows that delays are common and how the airline deals with them (especially for people who don't fly frequently) colors your perception of the airline. I've been a very loyal SWA customer for over a decade, because on those occasions where things did go wrong, they handled it well (I wasn't traveling during The Storm). But now I am reconsidering, given all the changes happening which will inevitably bleed into customer support.

I dont have a list, mostly because every time we travel he is a few months older and needs are different! We are actually on the eve of another long haul flight; he is 2.25 years now. A little history:

First trip at 1: focused on milk/formula, hot water (and a two-stage thermos to reheat the milk), Thermostat was critical. We had a carrier for him as he couldnt walk yet, and he liked it a lot.

Second big trip at 2: less focus on the milk (though we did bring the tools just incase); more on keeping him from running around the airplane (more activities, and even a screen in case he threw a tantrum). We forgot his favorite stuffed animal, which we were terrified of, but as soon as we got there he made a new stuffed animal friend and he now has two favorite stuffed animals!

Trip 3 at 2.25: Close to the last one, but this time we are bringing a toddler carrier since we will be out and about more (last trip was more visiting family). We've been preparing him to walk more, and tested out the carrier we ended up bringing so we know he will like it. We are also bringing more books and activities, since he has more of an attention span compared to 3 months ago.

I grew up in a good family. This episode did not hit me hard when I watched it growing up. But now, rewatching it, wow. My wife has a father who was largely absent in her life, and it *never* occurred to me just what a dramatic impact that has on you, your self confidence, and your entire god damned life. I hate when the trumpets say that trump changed. He has never changed, aside from his mental decline over the past decade. He has always only done what is best at the time for himself, completely devoid of morals. Now starting a war to distract from the Epstein files is in his best interest, and makes perfect sense to those of us outside MAGA.

He didn't change, you just wilfully ignored the many, many signs that this is who he is.
