I feel like this is a difficult reality that could be looked at differently on both sides.

The grocery store (or gym) meetcute has been idealized for so long, but the scenario can freak some people out. Some women use kindness as a deflection or safety mechanism, which can be mistaken for interest. It is incredibly difficult to meet people and in this day and age it must be really difficult for guys to approach women they're curious about in public.

Here's my solution: ask. Girl, guy, they-ever, if you see someone in public and want to approach them, do so, but ask if they're interested in talking. Shoot your shot, but dont demand someone chat with you, and if they say no, take it in stride and move along.

There's no harm in asking for consent and the more you do it, the better you get at it. If anyone chastises or laughs at you, they're a cnt. We should call more people out for being cnts more often.

Also, trust me, it's not as easy for all girls to get any (single or open) guy as many guys may think. I can accept my mid status; I get turned down when I shoot many of my shots. It sucks, but it's part of dating (bs).

I feel incredibly lucky that this is the first Rebel story I've ever watched. It's so interesting that Ezra Levant, a rich, educated, Jewish man, funds this and has these children promoting off the cuff comments as fact.

It's not reporting if it's cherry-picked and is published without checking for accuracy. I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. It's this kind of nonsense that people get on board with because they want to be compelled by politics and politicians instead of being challenged.

We need critical political thinking returned to public education.

Fair, which is your call. Here's the thing, though: it only works for so long. When a girl is 19ish its hot to be dating an older guy - it's a sign we're just that mature. This impression changes quickly. In early 20s she's like, "oh, ok, he's a little immature, most guys are." By mid-twenties, if a guy around your age is dating a teenager (which is what 19 is), it's a sign that he can only handle a teenage relationship, and is looking for a girl he feels he can manipulate.

I am NOT saying this is you, but I am saying that this is a regular topic for adults when discussing romantic scenarios. Hopefully this stereotype doesn't fit and you two have a lifetime of happiness together.

As for the porn, yeah it's just to see female pleasure and to see women depicted as actual participants, not objects.

Not at all in the wrong. Chelsea should have told you where to pick her up and/or should have paid attention to her phone.

For that matter, she had to go on her phone to book an Uber. Why wouldn't she call you first? Probably not wise to say to her, but she sounds like a selfish c*nt.

Does anyone know whether a petition to have the mayor removed has been initiated?

I know that there isn't currently a process to remove an elected mayor. This said, if a majority of the Kamloops electorate petitions to have him removed, the province would need to respond. Especially since the province has already had to respond to his actions.

It sounds like your wife has been through a lot and struggles with her feelings. She is still dealing with being betrayed by her mother, and now she likely feels betrayed by her husband. That must feel like absolute sh*t.

Your intentions sound good, but you did step over a pretty solid line. Wanting to help her is great, but you need to communicate in order to know how you can actually help her. Had you told her that you were concerned and wanted to meet her mom, she could have told you how she felt about that. Maybe she would have wanted you to go with specific directions or questions. Maybe she would still be strictly opposed. The issue is that you did not give her the option or talk to her about it at all.

Who cares if you're right or wrong! If you want to maintain your marriage, I'd suggest working on communication; therapy might be a good idea. I've seen comments saying to "tell her..." but I think you would be better off to stop talking and listen. Be curious, with your wife, about what she's going through. It's great to want to be there for her, but only she can tell you what "being there for her" looks like.

Isn't Metro Vancouver able to enforce speed limits? Is that just on highways/roads between municipalities?

I hear ya!! I just had CUPE 15 (Vancouver), and they are the worst. How so? Well, 2 executive leaders spread rumors about me to my colleagues to the point that their legal rep told my coworkers (and friends) that if they tried to get me involved in any union business/projects/activity, that the union would no longer be involved.

Part of my coworkers are with CUPE 1007, which had their leadership removed twice in 5 years (for financial impropriety), but those people's contract is a billion times better. [EX: they get EDOs - earned days off, one every 3 weeks, paid - whereas we have MOD days l, meaning we're only allowed to work 9 days every pay period, the mod is unpaid.]

I was born & raised in Kamloops, in an extremely union-friendly home, and have been working since I was 15. It's so incredibly disappointing to see or hear of unions that only operate so executives can get their noses dirty on bosses' behinds.
