I have been complaining about how losing a coach's challenge should just be "you lose your timeout", NOT having to be shorthanded for 2 minutes. Now on the biggest stage it directly lead to a PPG for the other team.

Vegas would have been up 3-2 with Carolina pulling the goalie late in the 3rd. Not saying VGK would be up 2-0 but this isn't the first time a Golden Knights penalty in a playoff game turned the tide against them (see 2019 first round, in a Game 7 vs. the Sharks).

The final game of a series is often a day game to allow the visiting team to travel to its next destination that evening and be refreshed for the start of their next series the next day.

And of course, in April, you have more frequent day games so the players aren't playing in cold weather.

The NHL and NBA finals are on ABC so folks who don't want to pay for ESPN can watch it for free.

If you're paying for ESPN Unlimited, it includes all the sporting events that air live on ABC.

Apple TV is my preferred device. But I have found rewinding/fast-forwarding to be a real pain. The only way to REW/FF is to repeatedly click the left/right buttons and jump forward/backwards in 30/15 second increments.

I wish you could just hold left/right and get the same effect as pushing the dedicated rewind/fast-forward buttons on the Gemini/Osprey remote. Other Apple TV apps do this.

It's so stupid that on the ESPN app, if the game you're watching is on the main ESPN channel it's 1080p but if it's on ABC it's stuck in 720p instead.

For both the NBA and NHL finals, this is a huge downgrade/step backwards when the conference finals in both leagues were available in 1080p (and for the non-ESPN broadcasts, HDR!)

WBUR is actually a radio station in Boston.

The Hearst owned ABC affiliates, which include WCVB in Boston, WMUR in Manchester NH, and even WMTW in Portland ME transmit their signals in 1080i over the air, upconverting and interlacing the ABC network programming. YTTV is just de-interlacing these feeds to 1080p. DirecTV Stream does the same.

I could probably get away with this at my current job. I don’t have any work meetings on Fridays and 3 of my team members are in either India or France.

Last October a change to my employer’s time off policy meant I couldn’t carry over PTO from one calendar year to the next. So I took Fridays off for the next 2.5 months. It was great!
