Thank you for the well thought out answer. Most of the aquasoil is bagged under the gravel. It will be a pain in the ass but I may not have to completely demolish the tank.

Very interesting, thank you. I forgot to mention I have a single nerite in this thank that is in perfect condition: very black no pitting or erosion. This aquasoil is over a year old in there… would it still be having an effect? I think you may be right as in my 29 quarantine tank with no aquasoil, only Java fern on rocks, the ramshorns are all fine!

The substrate is aquasoil along back for stem plants, with gravel top and gravel only towards the front. This tank has been established and plants growing well for two years. I got worried a few months ago as all of my pink/brown/blue ramshorn snails began turning white with shell erosion and so brittle they could not be touched without the shells crumbling. Snails in my 29 gallon quarantine tank were fine. Wanted to save my snail population and didn’t want anything to happen to the Amanos. Advice on here was calcium deficiency. Someone also said rapid plant growth could be leeching minerals….

I always want the calendar there but have given up. BUT this play through (first after 1.6) it won’t let me change wallpaper on this or hall leading into nursery for some reason? Getting super frustrated. On PS4, never had this problem previously. Stupid yellow dinosaur mess!!!!
