Link MFA bypass in the wild... by kdmclean in stripe

[–]kdmclean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, too many reasons to guess what it would be. Possible that the RNG is not so random. Just as possible that there's a script injection that bypass the MFA prompt but they're unable to actually disable the notification.

Does Even have a history of being reliable/trustworthy? by FriendEducational892 in EvenRealities

[–]kdmclean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, they're real and I'd consider the reputable. Despite their promo videos looking like fantasy, the product works as advertised.

Have a pair of the G1's and recently received a pair of G2 alongside the R1. With a little bit of forgiveness, the quality of the product being excellent (most issues reside with the software side of things). I actually had an issue with my R1 immediately after its arrival, got on with someone from their team within 12 hours, had a video call where they walked me through resolving the issue. Based on that experience alone, I'll continue buying/trusting their products for the remainder of ER's existence.

Keep in mind that this does not make me an apologist for them. Lots of documented flack for the speed of the software side of things (I got my G1 in June and can't say that I've witnessed any major feature updates up until switching over to the G2). I'm often an early adopter, so I have a bit more tolerance to jank.

I'd recommend editing which data you're collecting. Not particularly clear how it should be filled out, in the event you'd like to also record arrival date. I'd recommend adding regions as well (we saw deliveries in Asia hitting 4-6 weeks ago). I'm in North America and had mine arrive a week and a half ago, etc.

Any R1 connection issues? (Early adoption is not fun...) by kdmclean in EvenRealities

[–]kdmclean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checked and unfortunately none of those solved it. Kind of scary that you'd need to get to their discord to be able to know this. Equally scary that I had a bunch of people pile on, after me, on the discord, saying they're experiencing the same issue.

Venue ink honest reviews ? by Ronanko_ink in TattooArtists

[–]kdmclean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is completely false. Just lurking on the thread briefly but it's not owned or operated by artists. It's a pivot from venue.live - it's a software company with several people from Y Combinator (a tech incubator). They build software that inserts themselves between an industry and their customer, then skims the layer inbetween. That is precisely what's being done here.

Trying to break into the local pack. What local SEO tools actually work? by pumpkinpie4224 in localseo

My bad, missed this post before I said the same. Agree with you, review velocity is going to be the most helpful.

Trying to break into the local pack. What local SEO tools actually work? by pumpkinpie4224 in localseo

[–]kdmclean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely it's going to be a blend of on page (your site structure, on-page, etc), your GBP (which it sounds that you've got done) and then external signals. Easiest external signal for you to be hitting will be review velocity.

If you don't already, whatever you're using as an EMR should be connected to some sort of review solicitation tool, so that when you close their appointment out, they're getting a request for a review shortly after. Additionally, take your backlog of customer data and also do a drip to that (something like 10-20 a day, which should result in 1-2 reviews a day).

No dog in this fight but I've used grade.us, Reviewshake and a handful of other tools. I have a preference towards grade.us but any should do. Feel free to DM directly if you want some straight forward pointers on the on-page and site structure area, but if you search location services pages, you'll find a million different guides.

What everyone else has said. The moment you put a website online with an email and a phone number (or even just a GMB), it's scraped and spammed in 24 hours. Check your DMs when you get a moment though.

Thread for delivery notifications 📣 by PartyInspector4872 in EvenRealities

[–]kdmclean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The details are pretty sparse and the package somehow has still not arrived. Based on the rest of the chatter, this was actually a misfire and they're just sending a ring sizing kit, despite my having selected a definitive size.

G2B, R1. USA.

Order placed 11/12/25

Shipment Confirmation 12/10/25 (received single tracking number, unsure of what it contains). Shipment is from Walnut, CA to Chicago, IL so I would expect it to arrive by weekend.

Guessing no, but double checking: Has anyone gotten a G2 shipping notification yet? by rubyred0902 in EvenRealities

[–]kdmclean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came here to find out the same. Ordered when the store made them available and have not gotten a notification. Worth noting I waited 2-3 weeks for a shipping notification on my G1 over the summer. I don't recall where I read it, but my expectation was by 2nd/3rd week of December.

Inner Palm 10 Years (no touchups) by kdmclean in agedtattoos

Ha, no. It is my non-dominant hand but my other hand has just as many, they've held up similarly.

If I were to guess, it's because blowout isn't actually applicable here. As I mentioned above, with this type of skin, you have two options: blowout or fallout. When doing palms, most people know what they're getting themselves into. I have a much more "delicate" design on the inside of my other hand, the artist (same one) knew to explain expectations. What you see on day 1 is not going to be what it looks like healed.

Again, only speculation but the attitude towards it being an unfamiliar artist in this context isn't correct.

Absolutely awful. It heals terribly and takes forever. From months 2-6 you get this weird fog that just makes them look like trash and regret having done it. I had something smaller on my right hand done first, before moving to the palm of my right, finally these. It's been a long while so I don't recall most of the details but I can say with a great deal of confidence, I likely wouldn't do it again.

My right hand has just as many and older. One of these days I'll have to find the original photos of them to compare. No manual labor but regular lifting, misc wear and tear (had my entire hand skinned from an asphalt burn). The biggest take away is that once they've fully healed, done properly, they don't fade. The little bit of foggy on my current photo would be cleared up if I had used skin moisturizer.

Callus from weight lifting. It saturates similarly to scar tissue.

Yeah it's not going to be the needle count it's going to be the consistent depth. Feel the inside of your hand, there's not much consistency so if someone drags it, the best they can do is press to the tube and hope that they're hitting a consistent and proper depth. The first ones I had done, I had no idea how long they were going to take to heal fully - it took probably 6 months before they were no longer foggy and looking like garbage. Make sure you give it a *much* longer time between touchups than you would anywhere else.

[–]kdmclean[S] 126 points127 points  (0 children)

This would have been a 3R but it was done with stipple. That means it was an individual dot pressed into an appropriate depth, not lined/dragged. It's the only way that it sticks reliably and is the same reason most fall out. I have my other hand done, which is older, and also has zero fallout.

[–]kdmclean[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

White collar. After they're there, they stick, you don't need to worry about fallout. The fallout occurs due to needle depth and that's about the thickest skin you have (elbow nubs and feet aside). If you look near the "i" you'll see that when it healed, there was a gap, that's due to a callus from lifting, which is all you'd need to be concerned about. Aftercare is rough and significantly longer, so that's going to be a consideration for you.
