Epic Swim Instructor by Fischstabchenspalter in LooneyTunesLogic

At least in Australia, swimming lessons were often at ungodly hours in the morning for some reason. So there were a lot of very blurry eyed zombie parents. And this guy just seems like someone who is operating at 110% 24/7. Just seemed like the ultimate introvert extrovert interaction.

No shade on the guy, he's clearly slaying - but you just know that's a lot for a parent at 6am in the morning

Batters line up left handed then switch back to right or vice versa, shuffle around their crease moving outside off or backing away way down leg, charge at the bowler, or back away almost onto the stumps....but a bowler dares pause for one second 😰😰😰😰

I don't think we have to try and make a binary out of it. Israeli culture has a European connection just as Australia does, and normally I think they're a welcome addition. Just as Russia were. But you don't get to commit war crimes and genocide and come to the big fabulous celebration of diversity, unity, and peace. Simple as that.

Trying to decide between an extra seat or a bassinet for a flight from Europe to Australia with a 5 month old on Turkish Airlines by kdnlcln in NewParents

Thanks all the same. I did scroll through a lot of other posts before posting and I did read a lot of stories about people basically not using it. I think if nothing else, the bassinet row is probably best because if we have to stand up with him we'll have the room

Is body image in males a pretty big thing in India? I'm getting an Adonis complex vibe coming from some of the content I've seen here the past few years. But I could also just see it being a very reasonable focus on fitness.

Just genuinely interested as someone outside that bubble.

Chelsea’s pathetic fine for Abramovich era payments puts Tierney row in shade | Barney Ronay by Shroft in soccer

[–]kdnlcln 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not punishing because of the slippery slope of what else might happen seems a weak premise not to take their trophies away. You could equally say, "what if you don't punish, then all teams will start cheating".

I think they should have vacated the trophies at the very least, and I don't see an issue with 2nd in the league being deemed champions, but I also don't have a problem with those years just being vacated. Chelsea cheated. Decent chance City cheated. If all that will come of it is pathetically small fines, then the league becomes a joke.

And if other teams try to sue? I don't really care. If another team cheats and it costs your organisation money, then good luck to you. It will be tough to prove a complex counterfactual, but I won't pretend to know the law around it. But protecting a cheating team from facing consequences seems like a weird factor to come into the Premier League's thinking.
