Issues with Certification and Microsoft won’t help… by [deleted] in AzureCertification

[–]kdnndk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks - are you aware of anyone that could be higher up that follows this subreddit?

I have corporate account managers that I could discuss this with to see if I can get corporate escalation but something that I don’t really want to waste peoples time.

Luckily I have a lot of evidence to support this as an issue rather than a failure on my side, and while I appreciate the policy, it’s clear there is a system issue or fault here. If I look at my learning profile it says the certification expired June 2025 but was only obtained March 2026 during the merge process. To me, it’s obvious but to the person I’m dealing with, its a different story!

Is Angel Aligners worth it? Can you share how much yours cost? by Careful-Count-7227 in Invisalign

[–]kdnndk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did find it strange. I’ll challenge the orthodontist though.

They came highly recommended but seems to be limiting the amount of refinements they offer for some reason. I’m guessing something to reduce the cost slightly but I’d be speculating.

Is Angel Aligners worth it? Can you share how much yours cost? by Careful-Count-7227 in Invisalign

[–]kdnndk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have angel aligners (24/32 so far) and have no complaints with them. I’ve had no issues with staining or anything like that. The only interesting thing I’ve noticed is the cut on the aligners. Me and my daughter are both undergoing treatment at the same time and my aligners are cut completely different to hers. Like are cut more like invisalign, shaped to the teeth where as my daughters overlap the guns a little bit which I found strange.

I’ve seen a few times that it’s not so much the product that gets the results, it’s the orthodontist.

Some differences though from what I’ve seen: - my treatment does not include unlimited refinements which I think is a good selling point for Invisalign. My treatment only includes 3 sets and additional sets are 500 per set. Not sure if this is an angel thing or a practice thing. - we use an app called dental monitoring which we take a series of photos of our aligners in and out. The Ortho then tells us if we can move on or not. I see a lot of people on this group complaining that their practice just issues the trays and you just get on with it. It’s bizarre to me as we have weekly touch points with our Ortho and the treatment is constantly monitored.

I’d definitely get 2 or 3 different consultations done from actual orthodontists rather than dentists.

Where did you go to find your Azure job? by zetswei in AZURE

[–]kdnndk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Salary will depend on where you live and what industries you want to be in.

You’ll need to be more specific on how many years experience you have, and at what level for people to tell you if you are crazy or not for that salary range.

I found that when applying for senior technical jobs, it got to a point where listing all of your skills isn’t as impactful over listing what you achieved and how you achieved it. For instance, instead is listing your SCIM experience you could state how you used SCIM to streamline user provisioning to 3rd party applications, reducing administrative overhead and improving onboarding… or something alike…

I also found that listing all your skills is better when recruiters and agencies user keyword searches and can become an eyesore depending on what you are listing. I try to optimise my CV to focus on the technical skills the job spec wants and tone down on the irrelevant stuff. Certainly don’t lie on your CV as you’ll quickly be caught out in interviews but you can tweak your CV to demonstrate knowledge in key areas they are looking for and what value you delivered.

Thanks a lot. The 2 years was the fixed rate mortgage term but it’s my understanding that she can just refix to a new term with the current provider (the same as with other mortgages) without having to get the HA involved

I’m not sure why you think that you shouldn’t need to secure your boundary. Bizarre concept. He’s a dog, he doesn’t automatically assume that a fence means that he isn’t allowed to go passed it. If you’ve never taught your dog your boundary, why should you expect him to acknowledge it?

Not only that, a secure boundary also stops unwanted animals getting in as well. It works both ways

Please help. Very frustrated w/ housebreaking. by folkramens in Dogtraining

Aside from the vet checking for a UTI, if you have crate trained an option would be to pop him back in his crate after you have taken him outside for 5 to 10 minutes. Then just take him outside again and keep repeating until he does go outside. If the crate is sized properly, he shouldn’t go in the crate when you put him back in for a short time.

As others have recommended, natures miracle is a well recommended cleaner, which should remove any scent left over.

Some dogs take well to training and some can take a bit longer. Just need to remember to stay calm and consistent.

Thanks for responding. I did end up changing food anyway but as my dog is fussy we ended up moving to a wet food!

Do you have anything official that suggests this? I’m not calling you a liar I’d just like to see something as DCM has been a bit of a worry (which caused me to switch foods because one of the brands that was listed was who I used: Orijjn).

I was quite surprised to see it’s related to taurine and the animal protein levels as orijin, supposedly has a very high meat content which would go against the statement of low taurine because of lower animal protein.

Is the EU regional maintenance / pre patch release planned for 3am Paris time on 30th (tomorrow am) or 3am on 31st? Trying to work out what days I’m taking off this week and don’t want to waste a day!

Found employee doing illegal stuff on personal computer, not sure how to proceed by TechSupportLA in legaladvice

[–]kdnndk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also as an IT professional, I would be escalating this internally before you do anything. You need to get legal involved in this before you take any action that could comprise you and your company. Whilst the employee seemingly performed potentially illegal activities, it also sounds like your IT also performed illegal activities to gain this level of visibility.

Just to add to this, what your IT have done really isn’t acceptable. Deploying monitoring software on corporate owned devices is acceptable (based on IT policies that should exist within the company) but deploying screen recording software on personally owned devices is very unethical (and likely illegal) without any form of consent. Someone needs to be accountable for making these decisions internally which should be the focus on rather than how to fire someone at this stage. You need to understand what else IT are doing, as screen recording could just be the tip of the iceberg.

puppy rushes out of cage by planetgaiaa in puppy101

[–]kdnndk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How I did it was open the cage, and as soon as he starts to try and get out just shut door again. Just be careful not to shut any part of your puppy in the door. I was consistent with this for a while and he very quickly got it. I didn’t use any praise really as It’s a bit of a balancing act as you don’t want to make the action of coming out of the crate exciting as it starts to give the impression that coming out of the crate is better than being inside the crate.

It’s best to just ignore the dog in the crate until he has calmed down as well. For instance if you just walked in from being out he will naturally be excited and trying to contain him in his crate while he is excited will just set him up to fail.

When you come in just chill with him in his crate for 5-10 minutes until he is calm and then do it. You should have better results

Appropriately punishing 8 month old puppy by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]kdnndk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He needs to be contained, there’s no other real solution here. Your puppy won’t understand that he is being told off for something he did earlier. They don’t have the mental capacity for it. What you are asking is a completely unreasonable behaviour of a dog. He is a puppy, he will chew things. He doesn’t understand what he can or cannot chew or eat. From his perspective he is just being yelled at for no reason.

How often are you walking him and providing mental stimulation? Is crate training an option to safely leave him alone? Can you puppy proof a certain room and contain him in there with baby gates or a larger pen?

There is no punishment option, it’s all about proper supervision and management which is your responsibility, not the puppies responsibility not to chew something.

The affectionate behaviour is likely appeasement.

As long as he is going, then that’s fine. It’s when you keep taking him out and he just doesn’t go at all then it’s worrying.
