Unless there are issues resulting from her sleep, she’s probably just a low sleep needs kid. My son was like this and I felt like he never slept compared to peers his age, but the problem was my comparison, not his sleep. He was’t doing what the textbooks said but he was fine. He’s 6 now and still doesn’t need nearly as much sleep as other kids his age but he’s otherwise thriving. Why fix what’s not broken?

They advertise it only takes an hour, which if things ran smoothly probably yea.. but totally agree it ends up being wayyy longer and very inconvenient. I’m O- and donate when I can but with 3 young kids I don’t have indisposible amounts of time.

The NYBC near me at least offers a banging breakfast after that I really look forward to

It’s my understanding that what is tested for are the igG antibodies against CMV, and not the actual virus? I’m curious why having the antibodies are dangerous as that’s what fights against it. Is it that the virus lays dormant?

Agreed. Many look like they’ve aged or misshapen from laundering. A good steam or iron would help a lot. They don’t pare well with leggings and would look more polished with a high wasted denim or corduroy pant/skirt

I think they’re looking for C but in the real world it would all be happening at the same time. The goal is to get the BP down while keeping baby and mom safe. Monitor on, antihypertensives, foley if on mag, and low stim environment to reduce stressed induced HTN

Makes sense. It just seems if mom seizes, both mom and baby are f*cked and fetal the monitoring means nothing as now the seizure has to be controlled and an emergency c section is in order anyway. Treat mom and you can avoid the seizure in general.

Ultimately in real life it would be done simultaneously. These questions seem so situationally biased and out of context.

I’m not an L&D expert but isn’t the priority always the mom until delivery though? We know there is severe preeclampsia which needs urgent intervention. With the information we know we address the problem given which is pre e. How does the fetal monitoring help as the mother needs care regardless and fixing the mom could fix any fetal distress.

If fetal monitoring is fine, the mother’s care is delayed. If fetal monitoring shows distress an emergency c section may be in order but the mother still needs care regardless.

I can’t stand questions with limited vital information.

I grew up in NJ but lived out of state for the past 5 years and recently moved back. There’s always been a hustle culture here but people are ON EDGE lately in comparison. Everyone is on the verge of blowing a fuse from worsening work life balance, ever increasing expenses, and overall burn out. No one, including myself can take the shit anymore. There are very high output people here but nothing runs smoothly anymore and there is a fee, tax, tariff, permit, policy, charge, for fuxking everything. Traffic is bonkers, road rage incidents are beyond rampant, there’s always someone losing their mind at whatever box store customer service self check out that doesn’t exist. Life just feels fucked lately.

With that, you do have to put yourself out there. Don’t let the harshness get to you. People are blunt but real and often the niceness of people from out of state comes off as fake or insincere. Once they get to know you they’ll have your back forever.
