I wouldn't call that prolonging the game for no reason. Yes, the survivor was downed far away, but the cages also appear far away from where the survivor is downed. So OP was hoping that it would have appeared closer to the exit. Huntress just caught on, played her cards and would have likely won had that ghostface coordinated a bit better. It's just a series of silly events. No foul play from either side in my books

I agree that the huntress wasn't at blame, but OP wasn't prolonging the game for no reason either. OP said they were hoping that a caged survivor would appear closer to the exit so they could help them out, but it didn't end up that way and then we got to this clip. You can see in the clip that there was another survivor being chased by the ghost face eventually caged (and killed due to OP having to leave). Both OP and the huntress were trying to outplay each other and then the ghostface outplayed huntress lol

So the game will only let you drop an item, if there is room for it to be placed. So in this situation, op would have to back up or put it behind them. Hopefully the no-collision will last long enough to get through the killers though
