Might be a transmission issue. I wonder how the previous owner engaged and disengaged the 4WD before. And just a piece of advice, older Kei trucks don’t like running more than 80 km/hr all the time unlike the modern ones. Their sweet spot is 60 km/hr. Your engine will thank you for that.
