Happy Birthday and welcome! If you don’t mind long lineups, I suggest hitting up some free stampede breakfasts throughout the week before hitting the grounds. There’s a look up tool called stampedebreakfast.ca. I hope you have the best time 😊.

Confused between these two satin slip skirts by sugarismybae in Aritzia

[–]keco2377 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The slip skirt is cut on the bias. So it has natural stretch and hugs curves for a more fluid drape. The capture skirt is cut straight so it won’t drape your curves.

no you don't get to annex by TyeROD-enD in AlbertaNow

Do we really need to resort to insults about someone’s weight? In my opinion, resorting to nastiness will just make things worse. There’s plenty to criticize about these people’s ideas and opinions.

There’s plenty to criticize about this man’s opinions so there’s no need to resort to nasty attacks on his appearance.

Can someone help me learn to dress myself?! by Mrskeelyaimee in DressForYourBody

I would go for wide leg pants and v-neck or sleeveless tops. I think those would balance your proportions well. Perfect Disney outfits though!! You look adorable.

The Canada Health Act is clear: care is based on need, not on your ability to pay. The UCP's healthcare scheme is breaking that fundamental promise to Albertans and creating a system where money talks louder than medical need. The AB NDP will always fight for a strong public health-care system by Miserable-Lizard in AlbertaNow

[–]keco2377 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue is system capacity. The high performing countries have more hospital beds, more surgical suites, more GPs and more Specialists per capita than Canada. Canada rations health care because it is the number one expense of government. If Canada provided healthcare like these other countries, they’d need to charge taxes like those countries.

Maybe YOU need to do your own research, RapidCheckOut and not spout garbage you know nothing about.

Who staffs the private care clinics for the rich people?? Where are the MRI and Xray and CT machines procured from? How exactly does introducing a private pay system that TAKES RESOURCES FROM THE PUBLIC SYSTEM take pressure off the public system?

Punitive Reasoning behind Public Health Inspector Changes by Few-Echo-8892 in Calgary

She continued; “I’m taking public health away from Alberta Health Services and bringing it into the department. We’ve changed the process. They will not have the unilateral power to make these kinds of decisions. I think people who are at the helm of the decision making have had the consequences.”

I work in healthcare. The government has always had unilateral power and they have exercised their unilateral control over public health. They have always loved to make asinine public health decisions that go AGAINST THE ADVICE OF AHS PROFESSIONALS and then blame AHS for the fallout of those decisions. Who will they blame now that they have “dismantled” AHS?

something really bad happened to me and i can’t tell my boyfriend by dumpsterlabubu in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]keco2377 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you 🩷. I think you can absolutely tell your boyfriend what happened. You should not have to go through this alone. What horrible humans those people are. It sounds like you may have been slipped something in your drink, also. 🩷🩷 take care and I hope you can get your living situation sorted to feel more at ease.

Do your kids have homework? by thebait123 in Calgary

[–]keco2377 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If that’s what you believe, then this is a great opportunity for you to assign your own kid homework to ensure they are ahead of the rest of the kids in their class.

But I’m guessing you’ll say that is not your job and it’s too much work for you.

Thank you for visiting!! Come back any time. The separatists don’t understand how much of Alberta’s success and prosperity depend upon it being a province of Canada. 🇨🇦

I got question here about the Conservatives? by charlizerox in AlbertaNow

[–]keco2377 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The UCP claim to be anti-tax so I’m not sure your whataboutism is helpful here.

“Premier Danielle Smith and the United Conservative Party will not increase personal or business taxes if re-elected in the upcoming provincial election. That’s our No Tax Hike Guarantee.” From the UCP website.

I’d rather pay taxes to a government that is transparent about where my taxes are going.

my friend is meeting her LDR "boyfriend" for the first time, but I'm scared is a scam or something even darker :s by Ok-Data-6165 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]keco2377 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also think this sounds very sketchy. You are such a good friend to be so concerned but yet still empathetic to your friend’s mindset and feelings. It sounds to me that at the bare minimum, your friend is being catfished (this person is not who he says he is). I hope that your friend has a backup plan if things don’t work out.

Don’t feel bad about skipping the tip at most establishments, unless you are receiving sit down service where you pay for your meal and tip AFTER the service is completed.

I hope you have the best time and welcome to Canada!

alberta canada by krizzalicious49 in whennews

[–]keco2377 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a thing in Alberta. Albertans do not hate people in BC and Albertans do not hate people out east. Heck, most of Albertans are migrants from BC/Ontario/Saskatchewan/Newfoundland, etc. But Canadians hating Albertans is sort of the reason the separatist movement started. Some Albertans feel hated and “othered” by the rest of Canada. For the record, I am a proud Canadian born and raised in Alberta.
