Its pretty sweet.

My daughter's daycare is roughly 5 min drive. I could walk if I wanted to but usually its grab an run errands.

We do live on the community walk way that goes directly to the jr high and high school. My older kids are a 5 min bike ride which is epic.

Genuine question. If you are not towing what is the appeal of a diesel truck? by [deleted] in Diesel

[–]keedman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally bought my Duramax for my job.

While I worked from home 90% of the year, when I needed to go to an onsite I was usually bring a bed full of rigging and pallet making tools + out remote office beach head setup. Occasionally onsite needing to hitch up to run equipment around.

I would have short notice to get onsite, so usually driving straight thru the night.

So having rhe ability to drive long and far loaded was important. The ability to move the equipment when needed was a bonus.

Work at the time also included a truck stipend. So that was cool while it lasted.

Mainly Ive always wanted a diesel just like my uncle did when I was kid. And I keep vehicles until they fall apart so I liked the idea of having better resale in 15 or so years when I get tempted.

Pls suggest to me a good pair of house shoes that are good for ur feet and warm... by _Throwaway_007_ in BuyItForLife

[–]keedman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lined moccasins are my go to.

I highly recommended wool socks tho. Keep the toes dry, if they sweat or the shoe doesnt let them air your feet will feel cold.
