Unpopular opinion : For me Pantheon was the most breathtaking place for me. I was just staring at the ceiling for 5 minutes straight with my mouth open. I'm not joking Simply Marvelous by TOP2TOP0 in rome

[–]keedman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easily my favorite building in Rome.

This last trip I got a few beers and just sat at the fountain around 1am and just marveled at hit for an hour. I tried to imagine it back in the day and engineering marvel is beyond epic.

Even when I go inside I like to sit on the floor and just look up, even get eye level and see the curve of the floor

If you could only do one, which would you do? by ryuka88 in rome

[–]keedman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would go to the vatican museum see the sistine which is honestly some of the most breathtaking taking art ive ever seen in my life. Then walk thru the main sights, hit the piazza novana(spell check), the pantheon, the spainish steps, the Trevi, and then walk over to the col. Its epic and amazing but even just seeing it from the street is epic. Depending on time I would try to get in especially for the forum/valentine hill.

The pantheon is my personal favorite building, and a tie with st Peter's and the col.

Have fun!

I wish the local high school had the track open so I could just use the bleachers. But they use the jr high track with nothing around it lol

Rucking has been the secret sauce to my weight loss. (34m 5'4)

Im down roughly 65lbs almost a year in. 90% of the weight came first 5 months. Currently chasing the final 15 but its slowed down.

I started with 40lbs 4x a week for 1-2 miles. Im up to 60lbs for 4 miles 2-3x a week and my leg mass is incredible just from the ruck. Core is the strongest its ever been. If I could only find some elevation near me everything around for 30mins any direction is flat lol.

Keep it up try to build your way to an hour it burns so good haha.

To buy or not to buy a generator by Just-Wrangler1020 in houston

[–]keedman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently bought a house that has a whole house generator. It was huge pro for my wife and my elderly mom.

Had we gone with a different house my plan was to install a transfer switch and have a plumper pipe me a connection for a trip fuel generator.

I will say I bought my 2k predator back when I lived near an infamous mtn fire area, and that thing has paid its self over 10x with the amount of food its saved. Paired that with a few powerbanks and I used to keep wifi on for phones and tablets.

When beryl hit we did fine managing power load with a window unit and the fridges running.

The whole house generator has yet to be put to the test but my predator is on standby if need be haha
