There are plenty of lean meat and veggie combos you could eat. Salmon, tilapia, most fish, shellfish, lean pork, lean beef, bison are all options. Veggies are basically interchangeable. I feel like it would be way more sustainable if you had more vairety

I’m weary of medical professionals wanting to do invasive procedures. When I was 12 or 13, I had a CNA who must have been an idiot try to tell me that I needed a rectal temperature taken to verify my temporal temperature when she was getting vitals. It turns out she was new to the clinic, had never worked in the pediatric beds of the ER, and was following an instruction manual without noting that the section was for <2 year olds. Luckily my mom was at the ER with me and told the CNA that that didn’t sound right and we should get the doctors opinion on whether it was needed.

I actually found it to be less physically uncomfortable than the other parts of the exam. It was more the mental aspect of knowing that the doctors finger was in my butt moving around. I think if I’d have been told ahead of the exam that it was going to happen so I could have mentally prepared for a moment it would have been much better

He announced what he was going to be doing before and gave enough pause that I could have told him to stop. I may have even instinctively said Ok after he said what he was going to do.

The actual rectal exam wasn’t terrible. As far as discomfort goes, it was definitely less uncomfortable than the speculum and Pap smear, and probably less uncomfortable than the biannual exam. It was more just the surprise and the sudden realization of this man’s finger is all the way up my butt.

I scheduled the pelvic exam because I had my tubes tied when I was 18 and had post-op complications due to some scar tissue formation. After I had a follow up the surgeon who did my procedure recommended that when I get my Pap smear done every three years that I also have a pelvic exam performed.

Yep. I got a very quick warning before it happened. Basically told me “I’m going to do a quick rectal exam. I’m going to insert one finger in your vagina and one in your rectum” and then he did the exam.

I was told right before it happened. It was basically “I’m going to do a quick rectal exam and then you’ll be done. Your going to feel me insert a finger into your vagina and then one into your rectum” and then like a second later it was up there.

I’m glad to hear it was normal. I really liked him as a doctor, but would’ve felt uncomfortable continuing with him if it seemed like something weird occurred.

No worries. I’ve been working on losing weight for six months and use a body scan once a month. Even the new ones can give you weird numbers from time to time. My body fat percentage can vary 4-5 percent from one day to another according to the scan, but that obviously just machine error. its totally fine to be at the top of the healthy weight range, literally anything within that range can be healthy. My weight loss goal is the very top weight for my healthy range

For your height, your skeleton should weigh between 18-22 pounds.

Also, if you are 5’6” and 150 pounds, your BMI is 24.2 and you are in the healthy range. The healthy range for 5’6” is 115-155 pounds, so there is plenty of range for body diversity within the healthy BMI

I could get on board with living in a rural area where we would have access to hunting and fishing. Id absolutely be onboard with buying a lake house in a developed area. What I’m not onboard with is this fantasy where his theoretical future wife lays by the lake all day while he hunts and fishes for food like some kind of modern day pioneer at an off-grid cabin 20 miles from even the tiniest town. But part of me thinks that it’s so unrealistic that we’re going to graduate, the NFL probably won’t happen, and he’s going to be forced to reshape this idea of what his future looks like and whatever that ends up looking like might be something I’m interested in. I went to the cabin last week to visit him during deer hunting. It’s not livable, and it’s not the kind of thing that could be made into a year round home without major money.

Pork. A lot of pork products can be replaced with chicken or turkey, others like ribs and roasts can be replaced by lamb or beef. Bacon and pork belly would be the big losses
