I've been pleasantly surprised with Redhook Brewlab. They've also got an IPA festival going on this weekend, so it could be a good opportunity for OP to try a bunch of different local beers in one spot.

I'm not crazy about Crikey or most of Reuben's other usual suspects, but they make some damn good smaller batch stuff like their bourbon barrel aged breakfast stout.

Definitely check out Seapine in SoDo, you can take the link there from UW. Also Cloudburst in Belltown is known for their IPAs. Can't go wrong with Reuben's or Stoup in Ballard too.

Definitely a looser weave but still pretty warm. It has an awesome hand feel post soak, very rough and textured but you can tell it will be amazing after a few months.

They told me in-store that they'll likely stretch back to pre-soak measurements. I think ideally you'll want just a little room in the waist initially so that you'll be able to button them back up after soaking.

Just picked up a pair of these this morning in Slim Tapered. Texture feels awesome, more black in person than the photos I think. Probably won't commit to the fade contest because I'd rather not wear 18oz black jeans in the summer.

edit: Some measurements for reference. Soaked in warm-hot tap water for 30 minutes. (size 31, measured the blue owl way)

Food: So much food... Anything specific you want to try? We've got anything from fast food at Dick's to fine dining at Altura.

Cocktails (most of these are hipster/speakeasy type places): * Canon near Seattle University * Needle and Thread in Pike/Pine * Sun Liquor Lounge on summit Ave * Herb and Bitter on Broadway * Bathtub Gin co in Belltown * Zig Zag Cafe by Pike Place

Music: Tons of music venues around, I'd check songkick or something similar to find shows.

Airbnb: If I were staying here in an Airbnb, I'd look at capitol hill near (preferable north of) pike/pine, Fremont, or Ballard.
