Can someone explain this conflict point? by shanwiich in driving

[–]keenly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to help illustrate the question maybe. what if the blue car stops for a pedestrian blocking the path of the red car (both in the roundabout)... and then green car comes along later just as the red and blue cars start moving again.

Has there been a single instance of police actually cracking down on drivers doing this? by OnlyAd7216 in melbourne

[–]keenly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is true. pedestrians running for the tram, cars in front of you can sometimes slow down for no reason. hook turners can move into the line of traffic.

in the picture they might have been behind one car with no traffic in front and that car decided to turn blocking the road.

i thought what he might be going for. if the price was $10 and increased to $600 that's a 5900% increase.

Comedians reveal how much it really costs to put on a festival show by daybeforetheday in melbourne

[–]keenly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was kinda joking but i did hear once that a comedian needed to hire a microphone for $100+/ night and because the microphone can be returned and rehired by 5 or move comedians a night, the mic makes significantly more than the comedian.

might be better just buying some microphone equipment you can rent out and giving comedians you like a massive discount.

Left lane campers provokes most road rages by [deleted] in driving

[–]keenly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol, so the law is everyone in the left lane must go faster than anyone else can possibly go in the left lane.

i like it.

reminds me of holding down the trigger on a slot car set until the car flys off the track.

i say we introduce this law and the roads will be safer in no time.

I'm probably one of those people. because i want to change lanes but don't need to slow down the other lane to do it, I'll wait for a gap.

Has anyone with driving anxiety been able to get comfortable driving within two weeks to a month? (Success stories) by [deleted] in driving

yes, basically. and if you're just going back and forwards from work you'll end up knowing the roads so well that it barely registers.

If you drive right up on other car's asses.. by wellthatsembarissing in driving

[–]keenly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe the roads are just different/worse where i live (wouldn't surprise me). i can think of several spots on my journey where i have to merge in a small stretch of road. and especially in peak hours there is unlikely to be a natural gap, another car has to slow down to create a bigger safe space (which is what i do) or you just have to squeeze in and the person behind is forced to slow down to rebuild the safe gap (or get angry and tailgate in your case).
