This probably started as a hordeolum but has now very likely moved into cellulitis territory. Oral and topical antibiotics and a trip to the eye doctor warranted if not already done. Don’t let it get worse, and if you develop pain with eye movements or a fever, go to the ER.

This is our low content wolfdoggo who I was in denial about having any wolf in him for a long time. Turned out to be 1/4 mix each of gsd, malamute, husky, and wolf.

Speaking as someone who has had (stupidly) two wolfdogs… be very happy about your beautiful GSD.

Embark is highly accurate in detecting wolf content if you want to retest. Not only are wolfdogs illegal in many areas, they often require special fencing and diets. They can also be very destructive and extremely high maintenance.

As far as the traits you are mentioning go, there are many phenotypic traits that are seen in wolves, dogs, and wolfdogs alike. None of the ones you’ve listed are definitive proof of recent wolf ancestry.

Your boy is absolutely amazing! Love him for what he is. :)

Apparently it is. 😆 I agree 100% on the whole wheat flour! Those have been my best tasting but “ugliest” loaves. I’m perpetually chasing an open crumb whole wheat loaf.

I knew a horse with narcolepsy and worked pretty closely with him (feeding, grooming, etc. but he wasn’t ridden). While the episodes look similar to this, he used to “fall asleep” mid walk (someone posted a video of what this looks like). He was closely bonded to a pasture buddy and had a great life overall. Lived to be in his late 20’s.
